Monday 27/06/22 it will be... Runwatchabrung Pre 1990 (Cars built in 1990 or earlier) Max 650pp RS tyres only No NOS! Road cars only. No Gr.1 2, 3, 4, B etc No race cars (anything that was built as a race car only) However that's a few custom cars that the game says were built after 1990 but still qualify. Basically go on when the 'shell' was originally built. If in doubt ask 👍

Don't get me wrong, the dirt physics are still sh*t, just not as sh*t. The cars seem to have more grip and you don't feel like you are driving on ice as much. As for the rest of the game, it's a mixed bag, some good stuff some not so good... Apparently there's quite a few updates in the pipeline so we shall wait and see what they bring.

Not sure I see much in the way of improvement in the handling on the loose. Still shows absolutely no correlation to how cars actually handle on gravel with proper gravel tyres. Overall I'm pretty down on the new game, it's basically GT Sport with a couple more tracks, a small amount of extra cars, except some of those cars are hidden away and not available. With the added bonus of payouts being dreadful and cars being hidden behind horrible FOMO mechanics to try and push you to get involved in transactions which cannot in any way shape or form be described as micro.

Funnily enough the dirt physics have been improved slightly, certainty not as bad as GTS...but still not great. I use a controller by the way.

😬😟 I always assumed they had the physics down decent except for the off-road portion. Are you using a steering wheel setup?

It drives pretty much the same as GTS. Although car setups and tuning work very differently. Graphics are a step up (on PS5 anyway) The game does have quite a few issues though, which hopefully will be addressed in future updates. Is it worth getting? Yes, but proceed with caution...

Now that the forums back and the game is out I can ask the questions I need to know. How similar is it to GT Sport in terms of graphics and handling? I haven’t committed to buying it yet as I don’t know if I can handle extended periods of gaming yet. If it’s the same as GTS I can do some testing on that to see how I go

I must admit I was half expecting it to be delayed again, PD are as bad as C* for that. But...it's getting a bit too close to release day now so I think it's a bit too late to delay it now? 🤔

As the release date is next month you would think they should have announced that they are postponing it by now.

With the release of GT7 around the corner I just thought I'd drop a quick note to say that this group will be migrating over to GT7 as soon as possible. Rules for "Shuffle Race" night on 31st May 2021 The idea is based on the old Shuffle Races from previous GT games where the winner gets handicapped with a lesser powered car. Eligible Cars: Any N class car with some selected Gr.X cars also allowed as listed below: BMW M4 Safety Car. BMW i3 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Safety Car AMG GT Safety Car AMG 300 SEL 6.8 (Red Pig) Nissan GT-R Safety Car Porsche Taycan Renault Megane Safety Car Tesla Model S Toyota Crown Safety Car NO OTHER GR.X CLASS CARS ARE ALLOWED SO DON'T ASK Rules: The general idea is you pick a car which fits within the set weight/power limit. So for example the first race of the night will be set to 200bhp limit & 1400kg minimum weight. Next race the power limit is increased to 250bhp, so you can either increase the power of the car you are in or pick a different one. However the top 3 must stay in the same car with the same power you were on for the previous race. And so on, with the power being raised by 50bhp every race thereafter. Free choice of tyres all night, there's no tyre rule. Grids will be set to rolling start, based on the result of the last race, winner on pole. The idea is to give the top 3 a bit of a head start before they are chased down by the more powerful cars. Because we are not using BOP there's no banned N class cars, but if you pick a car that is usually on the banned list you are still a try-hard 😝 Hope this makes sense, it's a bit of an experiment so see how it goes, I may change things up mid event if it's not working as intended...

I see that you have some Wreckfest events scheduled. I might be able to give them a go. I don’t trust myself to handle more competitive racing but I can join in with some racing where accidental collisions won’t ruin someone’s race.
