The rumors are there's going to be a huge online segment for the game which makes sense because of GTA onlines success.

Ive only played a few hours of RDR so far and nothing online but I'm curious to see how they'd make an online portion of it and how long it will be able to hold people's interest.

GTA has so many different activities to do to keep everyone entertained and I don't see how they can add that much variety to a game like this to keep people playing like they have in GTA. I have no doubt they'll be trying to outdo GTA online and can't wait to see what they have planned!

Since they already had gambling, they could have PvP casino activities. Heists would carry over well.

I watched the trailer and it reveals. . . . nothing! But we can pre order? Is this a joke? Pre order something that will never run out of stock (AGAIN), but will not be released for another year. . . .  they are surley taking the piss!

Delay number one out of the way. I wonder if number 2 will push it back to Summer or Fall?

I was just thinking about this.

It's february and we're supposed to get this game before in Q2 2018, so before july.

Almost nothing since that delay announcement. Just 2 trailers and a few screenshots.

Pretty sure they're gonna push it back til fall, unless they start marketing it now.

Can´t wait for this game to come out... I loved playing RDR and I am pretty sure I will love to play RDR2.. Just hope the online won´t disappoint, because its not easy to do better than GTAO

It won't do better than GTAO. It can't.

It will be different but it can be just as good.

Not sure. I believe it will come out soon. That said,  I will not be surprised if it gets pushed back.

I want it for the story, not online. I will try it, goof around with crew but that's it. I am not getting as deeply involved as I am with GTAO.

I'm also more interested in RDR2 for single player than for the online aspect. I'm really hoping their story team got their shit together after much of the criticism of GTA5 being about problems with the story and characters.

I'm also curious how exactly they're going to effectively monetize the online for it. GTAO is largely focused around bigger, faster and crazier vehicles and higher value businesses which match with real world developments to a point. This is in line with the setting and makes sense.

RDR is a period piece so presumably there are some pretty hard limits on how much 'new' stuff they can introduce before it is no longer a western. It'll be interesting to see how they approach it.

Guns, Horses, Houses, Businesses (hotels, saloons, girls, gun running warehouses...), Heists facilities, gun factories, medical "elixirs" manufacturing and distribution.... a whole lot of different subjects to monetize. And you bet they will find a way to make you spend that money.

Gold horseshoes. Steam powered vehicles. Custom saddle etc.

Machine guns existed in that period. R* will make it as crazy and unbelievable as they see fit. Personal orbital canons and flying rocket bikes prove this ;)
