What did you do today?

Recommended Posts

It is, m8 :)

And on top of that, a lot of it takes place during the night.  I staid up all night to follow the race this year. Hulk's stint for example was just epic. No need for coffee.

Btw, what dash cam are you using? Been thinking of buying one ...

I wish I had a garage/workshop like that!

one day, one day...

Hopefully the deal will go thru with no hitches. The shop is perfect. Not just any “pole barn” style shop either. The is a fully engineered metal building with engineered heavy steel structure, high roof, center ridge ventilation, three 12 or 14 ft rollup strong doors, fully wired with 220, and fully insulated. It would cost $65K to build it today with the thick foundation and type of construction it has.

Have you ever played Grid on PS3? It has the whole LeMans track in it. I would get so intense playing it with my wheel. The Le Mans circuit is also on RealRacing3 which is free and I play it on my iPad. I think it's also available for Android.

I know Grid, but have never played it. I do play Project Cars once in while and love their version of the Le Mans circuit (actually they are pretty much bang on with every single circuit).  Got the Logitech G27 setup and converted my office seat into a 'racing seat'. Thank God there is no misses around :D Haven't tried the LMP1 or Formula A on that circuit though. Only got as far as the GT's.

Time is not on my side when it comes to gaming nowadays, sadly enough. Left alone time (or funds) for some real life driving on circuits, meh -.-  I live within a few hours driving from epic circuits like Spa, Zolder, Zandvoort, Le Mans, Nurburgring, Silverstone and what not and haven't been able to savour them recently. I know what's on my bucket list ;)

I had my tendon in my left thumb stitched back together today, which unfortunately is going to keep me from Los Santos during recovery. I should check with my Dr to see if I can get cleared to play as part of my rehabilitation therapy.

Some pics of my day yesterday.

Velo Vintage was a little cycle ride in Exeter with people dressed in vintage dress riding vintage bikes. I have neither, but went along anyway :)

We cycled into Exeter city centre to a little vintage/classic car gathering. Weather was fantastic.

Holy crap, a D-Type? Sweet!

GT40 !!!

That D-Type is awesome ! Is it a real one or a replica ?

saw one a couple years ago but it was a replica. still awesome though :D

The D-Type and the GT40 were "re-creations" built to very very high standards

Let my daughter pick out her fish for the fish tank she bought last weekend.  She's super stoked.  I don't have very good pictures of them as of now, but they are Glo-Fish.  They light up really brightly with an LED black light.  We have a standard LED light for the time being since it came with the starter tank.  But anyway... she picked out a pink fish and a green fish.  Their names are Pumpkin (pink one) and Skeleton (green one).  I'm just going to assume she picked out their names after seeing all of the Halloween decor.

I finished Tropico 5. It was a rough road. Let me put it this way, when I platinum the game I said softly "I think I finished this game" and my fiancée said "you finished it? platinum it?" Once I told her I did she yelled "Thank god! Now get rid of that terrible game".

I spent almost a month on it. Had to replay the last level for the last trophy over 30 times spending about an hour each time. Every time I failed I think I might have taken it out on her a little bit. I guess I am just happy its done. Still trying to decide what will be my next adventure. Kind of thinking I should take a little bit of time off and spend more time on GTA5.

Yesterday ErnYoung and I took a class in the sport of observed trials. It was a 2 hour class where we got to ride real trials bikes through some actual trials sections. It was really fun but also difficult. Some things I was good at and others just OK (wheelieing). After the class we teamed up with some of the officials and helped score a section. Doing that really helped us learn the rules and gave us a chance to see novice to experienced riders and how they negotiate the course.

For a better explanation of trials see my recent blog post.

After fido's last post, I need a beach towel.....and a few hours of sleep!

Along those lines, I was cleaning out one of my barns, in preparation of moving. I found two old transmissions, both old Ford 3 speeds with overdrive and 53 flathead with period Offy heads and two pot intake. I crated those up almost 20 years ago. LOL!

Signed a contract to sell one of my larger properties on Friday.

Took a look at this property this morning. Only two acres and a smaller 1300 sq ft home. I need to drastically downsize!

The shop is 2000 sq ft. Shows ya where my priorities are! LOL!
