What did you do today?

Recommended Posts

Went to work and it was possibly the busiest day I've seen since I started working there, today wasn't the best day at work though as one of the occasional excessively rude type of customers decided to show up and stressed everyone out over a food stamps card not working right. Just got home a couple hours ago and I'm planning on spending my day off tomorrow relaxing.

My day started off real well, at about 2AM the shelf about the bed fell off the well and I caught everything with my forehead. Needless to say I have had a head ache all damn day..

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Put my Dad in  "home." :( Definitely one of the worst days ever. He broke his hip 2 Sundays ago but he's been suffering from dementia for many years but living on his own with daily care takers. But now with the hip, dementia, atrophy from always sleeping and never exercising and heart problems, he will never be able to leave this place. The newest thing is he forgets to swallow food, just stores itin his mouth. He will rehab his leg and hopefully learn to eat correctly again and then be moved to different part of the facility.

Getting old SUCKS! Don't do it.

I feel for you Beez! I was the sole caretaker, other than short visits from nurses,  for my Mom for over 4 years. I hope my children don't have to do that for me. The dementia is just so sad in so many aspects! It makes the grieving process much more difficult in the aspect that it is impossible for you to know if they understood your  feelings you expressed to them months/years before they passed. And naturally their lack of the ability to do the same for the most part. The acknowledgement of what I did for my Mom by friends, family and rehab/nursing/hospice care workers has helped with my own grieving. It's almost like you have to start the grieving process once the dementia /Alzheimer's reaches a certain point before they actually pass.

If you see me online, feel free to invite me to a private party if you feel the need to talk. Don't worry about interrupting!!!!!!!

I only grow in living soil!
Because Fat Buds Matter!

YEAH!!!! I have something positive to say today!!!

Went to the VA Clinic and talked with a very helpful doctor that is going to get me help to manage my pain better and help with other problems.

While at the VA, my Realtor informed me that after their meeting, three other agents have very serious buyers for my farm........in addition to his buyer.

My attorney fires both barrels today at the opposing attorney in a fraudulent civil case that prevented me from closing on the sale of my farm. Tomorrow will be the "Sh^t or get off the pot" day for her to retract the suit or Friday we will be forced to answer and file a civil counter suit with a huge $$$$ penalty with attorney fees and the possibility of the DA filing criminal charges also for filing such a fraudulent suit.

I THINK I may be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel! I just hope it's not a train!: GRIMACE :

Well, today brings good news! After meeting with my attorney this morning and signing the answer to their suit and the counter suit, they have agreed to drop the suit and expunge the les pendins from the records without reimbursements for my expenses. Even though I have an iron clad case, I'm going to take it and move on to expedite the sale of my property to another buyer for even more $$$$$. I'm not going to let things drag out.

I'm happy that it is over, but still irate that it came to this.

I struggled to get out of bed and dragged myself to a dentist appointment.  A couple of weeks ago, I bit into something and broke off 3/4 of a tooth.  It wasn't painful--it didn't hurt at all, but going to the dentist can be a pain in the ass--not to mention expensive.  To those of you who have perfect teeth, consider yourself extremely lucky. :P

Sinister and I watched our daughter over come one of her greatest fears and perform a duet with her friend during their chorus concert. I am one super proud mother at the moment.  If you watch the video she is the one with the long brown hair with pink tips that is singing loud, lol. She is terrified to sing in front of people so this took a lot of guts.

Well, I finally did it. After 15 years, I gave my two-week notice this morning as I will be starting a new job on March 28. As much as I've disliked my current job the last 3.5 months, this actually was harder to do than I thought it was going to be and I got a little choked up talking to my manager about this. I really liked my manager as much as I hated the work so that made it even worse.

So, as some of you know, I have been dealing with getting my back and shoulder worked out after a work related injury from years ago. I hate not being able to do things I once was able to. Before this happened, I was doing soft ball twice a week, Bocce Ball once a week, two cookouts, and working out on a regular basis, all on top of working 44 hours a week or more. (four 11 hour shifts, and another day of OT if I could get it) Now, I'm restricted to being a stay at home dad. With this being refreshed in your heads....

What I have done YESTERDAY and TODAY, is get something prepared for my daughters four year birthday. It is today, St. Patricks day. Starting yesterday morning, for 6 hours, my wife and I have been working on putting together a playset for her as a surprise. Daughter is at grandparents until 4pm today, and when she comes home for her party, she will come in the front door and not see the playset. She will then be blind folded after cake and ice-cream, and taken out side, and sat in a chair on our patio, with her back to the playset, to open her presents. When she sees the playset, she sees it! Here is what we are putting together..  http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=70611986&cp=2255956.2273442.70859346.2255969.2257593.3130012&parentPage=family

MY BACK IS SO TORE UP!!!! Anyone want to come help finish? :P

  • 2 weeks later...

This more has to do with "What happened today" instead. So I was playing, minding my own business when a random person decides to friends, even asking me to accept. I accept and guess what he asked me. "Want 2 date?". I think there's a misunderstanding because he (mostly a "he") is probably assuming I'm a girl due to my avatar. I have yet to receive a reply, but I think there was a misinterpretation.

A quadratic function can be written in vertex form:

f(x) = a( x-h )^2 + k          *^2 means squared*

The vertex form is helpful because it tells you the location of the vertex (h,k); (x,y)

Started my new job today, yay! Had to sit through all of the orientation meetings, boo. Should be a good change of pace and a chance to do some new stuff. I also played a little GTA this morning doing some TDMs with randoms and got MVP twice but lost both of the DMs. Go figure.
