What did you do today?

Recommended Posts

My grandmother passed away today at the age of 93. She had 6 kids, 12 grandkids, 12 great grandkids, and 1 great great grand kid (on the way). Wasn't even old age that got her., a blood infection from her foot being messed up and the doctor not treating it properly at the beginning caused it, the 2nd doctor was treating it but warned her that it may be to late to fix at her age and he was right.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Sorry to hear this Hatch. I'll be thinking about you and your family in the coming day.

Today I learned that I will never, ever, EVER ride a Motorcycle. Just too many assholes on the road that do not pay attention.

Over the weekend a Co-worker was on his Harley when a driver decided to run through a stop sign. He hit Paul on his bike which has resulted in the loss of one of his legs. One persons carelessness has forever changed a mans life.

Thankfully for him and his family, he his alive and will recover, mostly :(

Idiots piss me off.

I no longer ride, but always loved it. For sure alot of asses on the road whom don't look for bikes. I didn't stop riding for that reason but I can say when you on the bike you have to pay way more attention to what is going on around you (but that won't always save you)

Waaaaaaay too much of that in Florida and Arizona! And not really because of the snowbirds.

Well, Big Red....My Ford Powerstroke Superduty....started to lose a bit of coolant when in high boost. It wasn't much, no overheating and didn't cause puking out the degassing tank, but it was enough.

So I found it's replacement and bought it today. It's a 2004 F250 Powerstroke Superduty Lariat crewcab long bed with 67,000 miles. Pristine as hell! Bone stock and drives like brand new. CarFax and Ford Oasis both showed no problems. I brought my laptop and scanner and ran several engine parameters with the salesman driving. LOL! None of them had seen a buyer do that! All the engine's weak spots proved good, so I hit them with a hard cash offer, they countered hard, but I only slightly budged. Sales manager tried the hard sale but lost. I got it for well under NADA and their asking price, got a full tank of fuel and they even followed me home to get both truck back.

Here's the new addition. It has a long bed vs a short bed on my old truck. It's a long bitch!

You aren't kidding. The majority of folks around here cannot drive for s**t.

Today I took the final exam of my law degree! It's been a struggle, not just hard work but numerous thoughts of doubting myself and feeling like a complete fraud when I got a good grade.

My parents have been very helpful throughout my degree and I wanted to thank them, so u took them out for a meal. The restaurant was in a barn and linked with a farmers market. I'd been wanting to go there for a couple of years but knew it was very expensive.

The cost was well worth it though - the food was absolutely incredible. I had shoulder of lamb starter, Jacobs Ladder main (beef with one rib - delicious), and cheesecake followed by cheese board. To drink we had homemade strawberry lemonade which was 'meh' to be honest!

After that I loaded the remainder of my belongings into my dad's car and we headed home. We're about half an hour away from home and are just stopping for a McFlurry.

Thankfully not! That would be after the next stage, which I'm not doing. I just have to wear the standard University gown and square topped hat when I graduate!

The Mrs and I went on a geocaching bike ride. We found a dozen more caches and I am now at 132 discovered :)

If you don't know what geocaching is, I suggest you take a look at Wikipedia and the official website below :

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geocaching

https://www.geocaching.com/play/search

It's a great activity to do when you have kids and you often find out some cool places around you that you had no idea about.
