My dad was in a big car accident yesterday evening. Thankfully he seems to be in good shape, only a fractured rib.

He got hit by an incoming car. The guy was driving under influence of alcohol OF COURSE and he lost control, went sideways and hit my car at approximately 70-80kph.

My car was in a Renault Twingo 2 and the guy in a Peugeot 806 or 807 so it was a huge shock for my dad. It's a miracle he only has a fractured rib.

He spent the night in the hospital but will go home later today. I'm going there this afternoon, as he lives 100km away. The asshole is fine too by the way, not that I really care.

I fucking hate drunk drivers. These fuckers need to suffer.

Don't drink and drive people.

Great that he's ok!!!!! Tell your Dad I STILL feel his pain! My ribs are still hurting bad!

I abhor drunk drivers! Most get off far too lightly!

Yeah my dad wants to press charges and I absolutely support him.

But like you said, I don't think much will happen to him. Suspended licence and a  few hundreds out of his wallet and he'll be good to go again.

@Fido_le_muet glad your dad is doing well. Drunk drivers suck and have no regard for anyone else but themselves.

Today we went to SeaWorld to register for the pass member Mako night (their new rollercoaster) It was a very disorganized cluster! You would expect parks this size to know how to run an event. We were however able to register and got our tickets. We then went and had some Buffalo Wild Wings followed by some game time at Dave and Busters. Have to say it was a busy day!

Sorry to hear about your dad @Fido_le_muet. I'm glad he is ok.

This weekend I'm running the father-in-law's towing business. Haven't been too busy, but I did get this:

212 Dodge St. huh?? Got your own street in Peoria?

@Fido_le_muet, glad your dad will be ok, though that rib will be sore for awhile

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Thank you everyone, he's mostly OK now but his whole body is still sore. He has pain chest coming and going and can't lie down to sleep.

The painkillers are super strong and make him feel super dizzy. Hopefully this will go away soon.

Even though he wasn't hurt much, he's pretty diminished now.

I started my day playing some CoD before work. Work on the other hand was very different than any other day, I went bird hunting with a net in the stores stock room. (Bird got into the store during a delivery when they kept the door open.) Now to use the rest of tonight to relax before hopefully getting some housework done tomorrow.

A factory I once worked at kept a 20 gauge shotgun in the office for just that reason, everyone went on break if a bird was in the place cuz no one wanted to get shot.

Fixed some screens the kids felt the need to push out instead of using the damn storm door handles. Put together porch furniture for Rose, and give the youngest son (11) his first tractor driving lesson, he did some tilling of the yard where I put massive ruts in it with the skid steer when tearing down the old flower shop and barn

To be exact this happened to me yesterday.  On my way back to San Diego after visiting my home town in Northern California, I got a speeding ticket.

I don't normally drive more than 5 mph over the speed limit, but got caught passing a slower car that merged in front of me out of nowhere in the fast lane.  So I gunned it and passed him in the slow lane.  Busted going 87 in a 70 mph zone.

I tried to explain to the cop that he merged in front me in the fast lane and I had to pass because I got caught up in the SLIPSTREAM.

He didn't buy it.

Not today, but last night. I rented a car and drove to Madrid and back just to see Paul McCartney live at the Vicente Calderón stadium.

It was one of the most amazing days I've had lately. I intended to stay overnight in Madrid, but was a bit short on money so decided to drive back to Portugal after the concert. Since I left home in the morning until I got back 21 hours passed in which I barely sat (other than driving, which isn't exacting resting). I was destroyed at the end of the trip.

Completely worth it. I'm a Beatles fan since I've been a child. Sir Paul is still on form and made an amazing and very professional show lasting 3 hours. The only thing that beat this to me was watching him for the first time 12 years ago - the shivers were even bigger then, being a first.

I mostly spent my day playing Overwatch and some Fallout 4. I'm hoping to get back into GTA a little bit more after the update coming on the 7th so there's that to look forward to.

Outside of gaming, I've been busy with work and looking into houses as I am currently planning on moving within the next couple months.

It's storming like crazy in Sydney, floods everywhere, so cooped up with the missus and watched netflix most of the day. Also have 15ft waves coming all the way up the beaches so that was fun to watch aswell :D

And you didn't go surfing? PUSS! :P

I got an rc plane out today, I bought it 2 years ago at a flea market and never done anything with it. Not wanting to do much today I figured I would screw with it. I took the .52 4stroke engine off and mounted it to a 40ish pound table to see if it would even sputter. I had no hopes of it running cuz it didn't feel like it had much compression. Let me say that bench running these iis done with the propeller on it so it can cool the motor while running. Hooked the nitro tank to it, hit it with the starter and it fired full throttle and drug the table across the garage before I could stick a broom handle in the prop to kill it. I dunno how old the engine is or the last time it was run, but it sure runs good with loads of power...

Also found out today before I can fly most of my planes I have to now register with the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) because of assholes with drones whom screw it up for everyone by flying where they shouldn't and 1 plane I have will be over 55 pounds when done and therefore will have to now also be assigned a tail number like a full size plane. Failure to do so and getting caught means fine and prison time.

We've had a lot of rain lately. I woke up to find my loungeroom floor covered in water. It seems to have seeped under the framework for the window that separates my balcony from my living area. The window goes to the ground so the wooden frame is on a slab. It must have found a way through. I spent the day cleaning up and moving furniture around the flat by myself so the carpet cleaner has easy access tomorrow when he comes. I told him it's no point coming until they fix the leak. Houso said they were sending someone to fix the leak not clean the carpet. He said he would clean it anyway and tell them of the problem. I was on the ph for an hour sorting this out and they still sent the wrong person. Oh well, time to try to beat some Osiris lap times with my T20 . I'm up to Oils Aint Oils The Sequel. FML

I rolled my camper van out of my garage for the first time in 18 months. It's finally being collected in the morning and taken to one of the top VW restoration shops in the country. Not sure how long it will take, but when I get it back it will be a major step towards how I want it to look and perform; complete new wiring loom, bit of paint and lowered suspension plus new wheels.
