hahaha it was the messiest thing you've ever seen! just whitewash-plus storm water isn't the best stuff to surf in ;P

Only thing I worried about when surfing was the rip and if at Pipeline, if the waves were breaking at the second or third reef. F surfing at Pipieline when surf is breaking on the third reef!

Makaha, on Oahu, was my absolute favorite beach for surfing and boogie boarding. I went there so often I was "kama'aina" with the locals. Kinda a rare thing for military people. I made lots of good friends there.

I rolled my camper van out of my garage for the first time in 18 months. It's finally being collected in the morning and taken to one of the top VW restoration shops in the country. Not sure how long it will take, but when I get it back it will be a major step towards how I want it to look and perform; complete new wiring loom, bit of paint and lowered suspension plus new wheels.

PICS!

I only grow in living soil!
Because Fat Buds Matter!

Finished carpeting my grandads bathroom, well putting down the carpet tiles. (He left the bathroom tap on and almost flooded it so the old carpet tiles got ruined)

It was a lot harder than I thought it would be, the carpet tiles were exactly the same size as the old ones but for some reason didn't fit like the old ones ( No idea why but                                  as I was half way through I was beyond caring)

Today I went to Thorpe Park with my brother. It's a theme park on the outskirts London.

We bought the FastTrack tickets which were an additional £80 each but were totally worth it. We hardly had to queue for anything. At most it was 10 minutes and that was because we wanted to sit at the front. We went on all of the decent rides two or three times, and most of the shitty rides (some of which were actually quite good). We went on so many rides we were bored of it by 3PM so left early and found a nice restaurant then an ice cream parlour.

My favourite ride was Stealth which accelerates from 0 - 80mph (130kmph) in 1.8 seconds. It was incredible!

My brother's favourite was Saw which we went on 3 times (the first section is inside and very dark)

The rides were great, but the highlight of my day was flipping off the queue after I'd just glided past them all! :D

you're like the speedy boarders at the airport. I look on at you from the queue in detest and envy!

We seriously pissed people off and got some of the dirtiest looks, it was great!

One incident that stands out is when we strolled up the exit to a ride at the perfect time and the staff let us straight on. They must have counted the exact number of people in the standard queue and let them all on too. Everyone had a seat except a very muscly man and his girlfriend. The man threw a massive strop and told the staff they need to learn to count!

We went to SeaWorld for a pass member exclusive event and rode Mako. It was awesome. Probably the smoothest coaster I have ever been on. We got two rides in before leaving since @Sinister and I both have to work in the morning. We also got to meet Guy Harvey. He was a super nice guy. Our daughter is a fan of his art but was not with us so he signed a painting for her I bought that we will give her for her birthday. :) He is an amazing artist and painted the walls in the area for the new coaster. (One of them is behind us)

@TECHFL227 I used to work at a sport fishing magazine and am familiar with Guy's art. I might even have a poster somewhere. If I do and can find it it's yours if you want.

So Thursday I rode up to Americade, a big motorcycle rally in Lake George, New York. That night I rode the company bike in the light parade. It had every LED light we sell on it and I was second following a dude on a Goldwing with a 5' American flag on the back. My job was to keep Old Glory lit up. The rest of the bikes in the parade looked like miniature floats from the Disneyland Electric Light Parade.

Friday I worked at our second tent answering questions on stuff we sell and talking with other riders. Also rode the dirt bike around on an obstacle course and some trails. Hung out with some SoCal friends who I hadn't seen in more than 10 years. Did some craft beer tasting, ate BBQ and made some new friends. Today same thing but it's raining right now. :( tomorrow I'll ride home with some of my coworkers.

My wife and I just completed our first half marathon earlier today and I finished with an un-official time of 2:21. They stopped taking official times shortly before I finished due to heat advisory. It was fun but don't think I'll ever do another one.

Been to a beer fest to sample some of the craft beers, but with the rain and friends bringing kids along, we left early after just a few samples.

Still managed to develop a light buzz and I'm gonna enjoy the rest of the day on the sofa. :D

Major choice in my life yesterday. Had to chose my specialization - determining what I will do for the rest of my life - which also implied the city on which I'll live for the next 5 years. Even though I knew pretty well what I wanted, the fact that there were options made for a very tense few days. Always on my mind "wouldn't it be better if"? Won't I have better job prospects with that"? "I can make more money with that now, but how will it look like in 15 years?".

Now it's done, no turning back and I'm relieved. I'm going to be a Pathologist. Essentially a diagnostics expert in cancer, being that analyzing biopsies is 90% of the job. The rest of the time I'll be performing autopsies. Either way won't be dealing much with patients, more with my colleagues when they need support in a diagnosis.

The kind of doctor that everyone says "I hope I never need you". That suits me as well, less people hassling me every day.

Now I can enjoy the Euros. Barely paid attention with all this stress. Let the games come :P

Was on the backhoe all day trying to find the old water line to the flower shop, dug up half the yard it seems and still haven't found it.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Succesfully finished a tryout/training at a new job in last 2 days. Found a cool place to work in the kitchen. Hopefully it works out well. Good crew, relaxed atmosphere. It's a mostly beer/gourmet pub place, with emphasis on beer, gourmet burgers, ribs, wings, steaks, salads, did I mention beer? :D , ...

I start on monday. :)

Anytime you're in Ljubljana, you're more than welcome to stop by. There's even a small hotel with few rooms above the place, so you dont have to go far after few beers. :D

Ribs are to die for, I already prepped them yesterday and could barely hold myself back from eating all 5 trays of them.

I love ribs!

I took part in my 2nd 5km run this morning. The local athletics club hold it once a month and anyone can take part for the £2 fee. Beat lasts months time by about a minute - waiting for the official time to be posted online. Not bad considering I've only been for one run in the last month.

Then after getting home and showered I strapped on my steel toe capped boots and jumped on one of my old bicycles and rode the 4 miles back into town for a potter around and some lunch with friends. For some reason it feels right riding an old bike with boots on!

Lots of market stools today plus one of the local village pubs had a pop-up bar with local beers and ciders, so it was rude not to walk past :D. The cycle home wasn't as easy as on the way in!
