What did you do today?

  • 2 weeks later...

Did this back in June and there is a post in here about it but I finally got the video last week and it took me until this week to figure out how to trim the video in Premiere.

This was at that rally in Lake George, NY. Had a nice crowd to witness too.

Here is the long version. It's slow but remember it's a 500lb. bike.

We picked up this little van on Tuesday and I only got insured on it today (Jesse has to wait until he turns 21 next week :P ) so we took the dog to the beach. Loved driving it :D

Bit of band practice for a charity talent show which is held at my local pub in a few weeks, we played some good stuff, forgot just how much I enjoy singing :D

Then had a catch up with my brother during his 3 hours of release, he was sectioned in a mental health hospital 2 years ago, but has made remarkable progress since then and is due for a step down in a couple of months. He's looking healthy, so that's great.

Good day all round, can't fault it.

Yesterday.

18 year anniversary with BeezWife. I took the day off and we went on a 300 mile ride. Went to the top of Mount Greylock which is the highest mountain in Massachusetts at a staggering 3,452 feet.  Then down the other side and had lunch in Williamsburg, MA and rode home. The weather was perfect and since it was a Monday the traffic was light.

Been a busy few days for me, built yet another new barn in the backyard for Rose, dug a massive hole in the valley between our fields and moved all the dirt up to the flower shop for land scaping. Got a phone call from a nursing home about 40 miles from me wanting me to bring some airplanes up and put on a demonstration for the ol timers. Got a new (to me) plane for payment for repairing a plane.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I found the neighbours cat sleeping in our greenhouse. Once the cat saw me it paniced and ran through the glass. Upside the cat that once came in my livingroom fighting my cat might stay away now. Downside is the broken glass. Neighbour just called and said the cat is back now without a scratch.

Then later my daughter called and said she found a dog that was just running around without a collar, she was worried and tried to keep it from getting in the way of traffic. She was a bit upset and wanted help, so I jumped on my bike with a few hotdogs in my pocket. It turn out to be a American Pittbull that liked hotdogs. I did not want it around my kids, so I tied him up with a rope in the garden. It didnt take long before some young prick walked by asking if we seen a dog. A few minutes later, after he cussed at the dog, he walked away with the dog still with no collar or leash. How do some people survive in this world..

Yesterday we drove to St. Louis (4 hrs 1 way) to pick up a cooler for the flower shop, fun fun.

Today I spoent 8 hrs at the flying field cuz it was a perfect day for flying. Former world champion Frank Noll and XFC pilot Chris Haas was there giving me some flight tips. SO I was there than planned but can't pass up advise from these guys when they are dishing it out.

Had lots of fun in Rocket League with the crew. Afterwards, the wife and I watched some Breaking Bad. Then, as I promised @Drako_Oryan and @truelife98, I got back on Rocket League. Waited for either of them to reply to me, so played some regular, non ranked matches. Got into a fun lobby with fun people, plus, I was getting MVP every game. Then one person had to leave, and some dude came in running his mouth about how this was going to be "2ez" cause he was a Grand Champ in solo ranked. Grand Champ is highest possible rank, btw. THIS GUY SUUUUUUUUUUUCKED... I scored 6 goals alone, and he had none. So I told him, "Hey, they have tutorial back at main menu for you.." So he then started running his mouth again. I was just laughing. Well, they put us on the same team, and my two old partners on the opposite. I said fuck it. Played for opposite team, and knocked in another 5 goals for them. Dude was raging... I wouldn't do it twice in a row, so I left the lobby after telling the other 4 players to have fun and wishing them the best of luck... Well, I couldn't just let it be, so I messaged him on PSN... "Hey man, if you ever need some lessons, shoot me a message.." ROFL - then I waited a few and then blocked him lmao. Oooohhhhh, sometimes its fun to be a troll, lol, just not my usual thing.

Today, we added a new member to our family. @Hatch and @BustyRose were kind enough to offer us their Belgium Tervuren. She is 3 years old, very beautiful, and very very intelligent. You can tell she had GREAT previous owners. She is still looking for Hatched. She sits at the front door (the last place she seen Hatched and Rose) and waits for them to come back. She has taken a liking to me, also. We had the in-laws over for dinner tonight, and she was staying at my side the whole time. I think this addition is EXACTLY what we were looking for.

Woke up to the wife taking a phone call apparently she was runner up to a contest she entered at the beginning of summer. The winner just backed out so she won a free beach house at the beach we usually go to.

Only real issue is its short notice as the house is for this Saturday thru next so of course we accepted now I just need to get off work.

Spent the day at Barnstormers 2016, this is a fly in event hosted by the RC club I belong to and is the major non competition event each year in Illinois, there is many other events all over the state but this is the biggest. It is only for planes with wingspans larger than 80 inches. I will be posting pics of my flights from tomorrows flying.

Also, today Hobbico (worlds largest rc supplier) had a "hanger sale" which is also located in Champaign (same city as the club) and they were empting one of their warehouses at some really great pricing, there is 9 planes and 5 drones now added to our expanding fleet of aircraft.

Pics are of todays event and not of the planes bought at the sale.

We went to the Edinburgh Tattoo on Thursday night (haven't had time to post). It's the first time I've been as I wasn't sure what it was and I really enjoyed it.

From the website:

"Showcasing music, dance and display from around the world, the 2016 showpiece event is set to pay tribute to HM The Queen's 90th birthday while celebrating 'Tunes of Glory'

With the unforgettable sight and sound of the Massed Pipes and Drums performing against the brooding backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, the spectacular production will include, amongst others, the New Zealand Army Band and Lochiel Marching Drill Team, in the company of His Majesty The King's Guard from Norway, the Imps Motorcycle Display Team alongside the Royal Jordanian Armed Forces Band and Drill Team"

Some pics and videos -

I forgot to mention that at the fly in over the weekend we won a new P47 fighter with 48" wingspan (ready to fly), a Tatic TTX850 transmitter (not super high quality in the grand mist of all available but very rugged and best of the Tactic line), and a Tiger Moth plane kit (24" wingspan). We also won 2 gift certificates at Hobbico but gave those back since we already won so much and gave the Tiger Moth to a kid who was there with his dad who was learning to fly.

So, as most of you know, (I feel like I start a lot of posts this way lol) I am huge into game development. Over the years, I have been a GM (GameMaster), Dev, or Admin on multiple MMORPG's. One of my favorites was called Athena Mir3, and I was second admin. Unfortunately, the man who owned the game was running the server on a secondary pc of his, and it fried. So the server went off-line. This was about two years ago. Two days ago, I got pissed about another game I was working on closing earlier this year, and decided it was time to do my own. I got a hold of the guy who ran the old server, and offered to purchase his files. (He had offered them to me for a grand after it closed down.) He told me, that he was doing nothing with them, and since I had done more then my fair share of work on the server, he would let me have them free. Last night, about 22 hours ago, I started receiving the files. 30 minutes ago, the files are now completely on my own personal OS. I am in the process of transferring the files over to my virtual machine, so that way i can run it directly from there. SOOOOO, tomorrow (or later tonight if I stay awake lol) I will begin the process of creating my own game. I am not just going to reopen his server as my own. I am going in and completely revamping things, to make it my own. I am very excited to get this going.

(((Going to copy this into my own thread as well and keep people updated, perhaps some of you will be interested in testing it for me when I get there;))))
