The first and last time team tenshun took to the silverstone track... @Protocawl
This happened about 3 months ago, and with silverstone coming up in the supercup on monday, I thought I'd give fellow competitors an insight into how team tenshun handle their team orders.
(This was before we were teammates, but after this I decided to join the team as I had always wanted to race with Pastor Maldonado ;))

We don't have a Maldonado here at Tenshun, though, and I remember I was struggling to stay awake that time. That's where the random straight-into-the-wall part came from and it probably had a part to play in the bump as well.

Maldonado is our reserve driver. Me, you and @Paulie are better than him!

last time i looked u were still looking for a spa-francorchamps remake.

maybe check out this one; https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/ps4/jobs/job/7H9GFxOZ0k-BA7qWYGkmFQ

if anything its too smooth, but an awesome track ;)

the creator has made many irl tracks worth checking out.

Edited by MAHALOKA

The layout looks correct but as with the case of many older tracks there's 0 elevation. Spa wouldn't be right without a lot of changes especially for Eau Rouge. @Protocawl has a version almost complete though so should be available for testing soon.

the elevation in Eau Rouge is like real life (only to scale, so the whole corner is a bit shorter, and much smoother than real life), the downhill elevation on the later corners is only a tiny bit less than real life, i've seen a lot a attempts at spa-remakes in gtao and its the best there is atm. i've tried and tested hundreds of irl-attempts on gtao, because those tracks are the most appealing to me (i was made during a F1-race, and visited 12, 7different ones) also i have a database with currently 43 different irl remakes, selected for 'realness' and compatible for contact-racing. in my bookmarks i have some more which are looking better, but dont resemble the tracks as they come irl that well (i can upload the links here if u want?)

Will definitely take a look at some links. I spent a lot of time searching for tracks to use in this championship so I've probably already tried many of them out but as you will be very aware for every decent track on socialclub there's usually at least 20 crap ones. There's a good chance I may have missed a decent course.

What do you think of my versions of Catalunya, Monaco, Suzuka and the Hungaroring?

they are in the list m8 ;)

and tbh are only rivalled by the creator of the spa track.. that guy is also a wizard where it comes to recreating irl tracks..

should i post the list here, or would it be better in a new 'irl tracks database' thread?

I'll burn that thread to the ground lol. 99% of recreations are awful. Including 100% of recreations that are in the sky. But in the interests of being helpful - http://www.domesticbatterygaming.com/forum/202-stunt-races/ not a database thread as such but if you see any stand out races that aren't already there feel free to add them here.

 Yeah, Ally is the biggest real life track recreations fan in the crew, DC 2nd biggest fan, then it's probably me.

I just like to moan. :D Snacks Gold Coast is probably the best one I've seen in the crew, Lann's Gothenburg also, good examples of how you can use the new props we've gotten to do something decent using a mixture of roads and props.  fido's México is the best fully stunt prop one I have done. Most of the fully stunt prop tracks are just boring haha, couldn't give a fuck if the layout is right if it's dull/has no reference points.

Completely agree with the reference points. I always build the track in the air to get the layout right and then split the track into template sections which ill try fit into a suitable location close to the ground. I'll then make fine adjustments to get the track smooth and avoid terrain objects.

yep, i also prefer the tracks to be 'blended' into the existing landscape, its one of the reasons i don't attempt to recreate irl-tracks because its almost impossible to do for most tracks to 1. get the track right(-ish) 2. have it blended in the landscape, and 3. have the irl landmarks.

maybe ill try it when we have 500props available in the creator.

i do love the new-roads though, since the new props i mostly create tracks which are or 100%new roads or new props in combination with some nice vanilla-roads.

from creator-perspective they are a blessing, there's so much possibilities now.. still never enough props and memory..

@Squirrel im so happy R* fixed the rising templates and the angles(when switching props) with the last dlc, it was really hard to precisely place them.

I have made a couple of 'real' tracks (Thruxton V2 is as good as I could get) but I agree they can end up being a bit flat and boring. Plus they are a pain in the arse to get right, especially given the prop limit...

I have found it much more satisfying to create realistic fictional tracks. Tracks which theoretically could exist in the real world either using existing roads or stunt props.

So I consider realistic kerb and barrier placement (no exposed trees or other bits of scenery) just to help with immersion. Good examples of mine would be Tataviam Mountain Circuit (all stunt props) or street based tracks Circuit Xero, PostOP Raceway or Vinewood Street Circuit.

He obviously has not raced Bing's 'Tube of Long'... An excellent track based on the tunnel from Monaco. ;)

that's how i like to do it also :) make them like they could exist irl. (but don't) ppl don't know what they're missing out on, haha ;)

i have 2 questions:  1 is it ok to shoot my car with 1bullet before the race starts (to ensure health pick-ups work) because R* have broken them a couple of dlc's ago.

2 how do i get my recording to be 30min instead of 15min?

cheers in advance.

No need to shoot the car, there's no pit stops that are mandatory and your car won't get that damaged (nobody's has over however many races we've already done) not sure about 2 but mines is set to an hour it's in the psn settings, broadcast settings I think.
