@Realjaysee yes had a bit of a moment pushing too hard trying to get past you. So backed off and just brought her home lol

Thank you for that, one more lap right in front of you and i wouldve shat my pants ?

Also : can any of the mods edit my previous message? I got the same text twice in the post

Here's my POV:

Once again a very lonely race. But tbh I prefer it like that rather than battling with @Fido_le_muet the whole way through :P
The only interesting thing I managed to see was at 4:25 when the robot's programming malfunctioned and made a mistake (@BRacer), and also at the same time managed to catch a few glimpses of @Mythaga's crash of epic proportions and him somehow landing it.

Here's my POV of the race. My goal was to get a podium finish and it was possible for a pretty long time during the race, but due to a few little mistakes I finished 4th. Very happy with that result and in fact, I'm going to be 3th in the end as @Potato will probably get a 5-minute timepenalty for not exploding at the start (remember our deal @Squirrel ?). Also @JuniorChubb should get a penalty for not crashing into Potato...

Anyhow...

Highlights :
Start at the beginning of the video. Managed to get in third after a few incidents, I was thinking : "Okay, now keep this position for the remaining 19 laps :p"

1:55 : Lap 2 : Losing 3th place already to @Clydicality, hit him while trying to get the position back (sorry for that) and dropped back to 7th

2.45 : @Clydicality and I showing of our drifting skills + making my way back to 5th

4.17 : Kissed @Paulie's butt in the chicane, he lost the back in the right hander but I don't think that was because of me. Hello P4!

4.45 : Bye P4! Got hit by ... @Protocawl? (cant read the name in the video). He waited for me, no issue here. Back to P7...
Had a better exit after the S'es and managed to get past @Clydicality on the straight. @Mythaga was chilling at the side of the road, so P5 again

Battle for P4 with Paulie untill Clyde Takes him out at  7:40 (racing incident as well imo, hit the brakes too late + he was on the inside)
But the battle goes on. Pretty proud of my move at 8.10, also very nice racing from Paulie for giving me enough room!

From then it's all P4. Was 7 seconds behind and managed to close that gap to 4 seconds untill ....

Lap 12 (16.00) : Personal best (1.24.1xx)
Lap 13 : Personal worst... Crash at 18.08. I heard @Mythaga thinking : "Oh there is JC, he's probably getting closer to me so he can give me P4 in the last lap"

Next few laps were pretty sweaty with Myth right behind me, untill he... binned it at the last lap :D Dunno what happend but he was suddenly a few seconds behind me, so I finished my race with a veeeery carefull last lap.

Great racing everyone!

Also nice work from @The_Lady_A who immediatly moved out of the way when getting lapped. A little bit of practice and a fully upgraded car and I'm sure you can be competitive!

Nice race @Realjaysee, loving are synchronised drift! I must say I was disappointed to lose 3rd place almost as soon as I got it, but that's racing. Caused a couple of incidents myself anyway.

Apologies to @Paulie at 7:40, I was really eager to back past Jc, need to catch him up in the championship, I want that 5th place!

You got my finishing time right Squirrel but not my position....

My 27.45 time should put me in 1st place. ;)

ooops. :D

Tables are up now, some very close battles in the middle to rear of the grid. Those hard earned points certainly make a difference when they come.

@Squirrel I'm happy now to join any team that would have me. A few pages ago you mentioned both Globe Oil and Wiwang, either of those would be fine in terms of livery if I can keep my paint colour.

I have a quick question regarding curb boosting, which I didn't even know existed until reading this thread and I don't want to get into bad habits. Does it boost speed the whole time a wheel is on the curb, or is it a single boost each time a wheel hits the curb? At the moment I lack the precision to consistently avoid the curbs when driving at speed (and wrecking beyond them, though that's a little bit less advantageous). Often on exiting a fast turn I end up with 2 wheels on the curb on the straight, pull in too sharply so I'm in the middle of the track then over-correct hitting the curb again. If the curbs are only a single time boost per wheel, would it be safer to just stay running the two wheels in the curb until I can gently bring all 4 wheels inside the white line?

The boost comes from when the wheel hits the kerb. With the nature of the tracks we're using it's impossible to avoid the kerbs completely so we've outlawed weaving and use of the kerbs on the straights. As long as you're using kerbs as part of the racing line it's no issue at all.

Globe Oil is the team with least members at the moment, they only have DJW racing for them at the moment.

@The_Lady_A I think putting the livery on overides the colour underneath. I don't mind someone being in Global Oil without the actual livery if Squirrel is OK with that.

As for kerb boosting, I think the answer to your question is it's both, but there are people who know far more about the race physics than me. If you were to drive a whole straight on the kerbs it would be faster than driving the whole straight on the track, but if you weaved on and off the kerbs it would be even faster still.

@Squirrel I noticed Hungaroring is Morning by default, is that the time of day we'll be using in the race? Personally I find the sun is a bit bright in places and would prefer noon myself.

@The_Lady_A Kerb boosting only works when your wheel goes over a kerb, running on the red and white striped kerb will not have any impact on giving your car a boost. So you don't get a continual boost from being on a kerb, you get a boost every time you go over a kerb, so say if you weaved over the kerb all the way down the straight, it would be faster than staying on the track, faster than going over the kerb once, faster than weaving on and off the kerb, and faster than going straight on the kerb.

Being on the kerbs is allowed, being over the kerbs is not.

@Protocawl Hows your version of Spa? Is it ready yet?

I've had to re-do it 3 times now, but this last version will be the real deal.

Determined to get it done in the coming days. Very tough to find more than an hour at a time any given day in the creator for me, but I can't let any lesser version of Spa be used, not anymore, I've put too much time in that track by now to let that happen.

If your creator experience is anything like mine each time you restart a job it gets better so hopefully round 3 will give us a great version of Spa.

I know what you mean about hour long sessions, I like a good 3 or 4 hours to get into a build, an hour here and there breaks up your flow. Looking forward to seeing what you create, I am sure the Pfister Cup brigade will be grateful for the time and effort that you put in.
