I've had to re-do it 3 times now, but this last version will be the real deal.

Determined to get it done in the coming days. Very tough to find more than an hour at a time any given day in the creator for me, but I can't let any lesser version of Spa be used, not anymore, I've put too much time in that track by now to let that happen.

We need to be testing this track now to make sure it's good enough. I'll be making the decision for which Spa we're using before we race at Hungaroring on Monday.

Fair enough, should be ready for testing either tonight or tomorrow, depends how much time I can spend in the creator today. Will be a few hours still before I get home to the PS4.

**NEWSFLASH***

TheLowlyGentlemen has celebrated their 3rd anniversary this weekend.
After three days of bragging with their cars, crashing into each other in demo derbies, drinking themselves to death and filling the skies with fireworks, RPG's and whatever they could find to shoot up in the air, we had the honor to speak to one of the most handsome members, JC10110.

"I woke up somewhere in the dessert, surrounded by empty bottles of Pisswasser", said the TLG Racing team driver whose breath was smelling like rotten beer. "While driving home in my Pfister, I puked all over the windshield so I decided to call my mechanic to pick me up and bring me home".
After the mechanic brought the Pfister supercup driver home, he decided to clean the car and prepare it for the race in Hungary. When he wanted to clean the trunk, he found 20 cans of black plastidip. Nobody knows where they came from, but according to the mechanic, one of the cans smelled funny.

"I was still drunk when I took one of the cans and painted a bunch of male genitals on @BRacer's Pfister, and wrote 'JC is better than BR' on my own Pfister", said JC10110. The management was not happy with that joke, and with only one day to go untill Hungary, it would be easier to paint the rest of the car black, rather then remove all the Plastidip. And so they painted heir cars and added a new sticker (that didn't got sold because everyone put all their money on alcohol, hookers and rockets) to honor the third anniversary of TheLowlyGentlemen.

"Once you go black, you'll win on the Hungaroring racetrack" - JC10110

Hungaroring in less than two hours.

After the race I'll be hosting the two potential Spa tracks again. I'll be taking a vote and the track which the majority goes for will be the track being used for the race in two weeks time.

First Spa is much better with the layout but it is too long and too boring.

2nd version is better overall, much better scenery but you took a few liberties with the layout Squirrel :D

The Eau rouge bump needs to go otherwise it will be chaos come race day ^^

was fun on the Hungaroring today @Squirrel , only @Realjaysee didnt bin it in last lap, so had to settle for 5th ;)

for the spa matter, i prefer the 1st track, although its a bit long, its smooth and allows for plenty of overtaking, small mistakes will only cost positions. perhaps a nice change after the hungaroring, which was pretty tight (as it should be)

on the second track there where cars upside down on every of the 5laps we did on eau rouge and there where a lot of crashes on other parts of the track, it didn't feel very comfortable to drive and overtaking was mainly due to other cars crashing.

will upload video tomorrow ;)

I agree with @MAHALOKA, respect @Squirrel for building that track in just one weekend, but there are many things that don't feel right on that track. The first one we did was indeed pretty long, but very close to the real track. All corners felt like the track irl, I could immediatly drive at a decent pace, as the racing line doesnt differ too much from other racing game.

I also don't think it's too long, lap times were realistic (around 1.50, in F1 the lap record is 1.47. In Hungary it was 1.14 in GTA and 1.17 from Vettel IRL). There are some long straights, but these straights are long irl too.

About the challenge on the track, i don't think it's less challenging the the average track we raced on. corners require a higher amount of skill, a good exit is more important as there's a long straight afterwards.

That being said, my Hungary video will follow one of these days.

summary : Was right behind @Mythaga for 22 laps. I hate him.

Ok decision has been made for which track we'll be using.

The version I put together quickly is a fun challenging track, lots could happen in a short space of time, even after smoothing out the bumps etc it will still be a handful, this makes it an ideal track for casual races when you're only doing 4/5 laps within a playlist.

Supercup is more about serious racing. Lovepoppins version is a touch too long but most incidents will come from your own mistakes and not because the car in front of you takes a corner wrong and ends up on their roof taking you out in the process, the races are based on distance not number of laps so it will only be a 13 lap race compared to the average of 20 for most circuits. Spa is also one of the longest races which is also a factor.

One thing I was worried about was having two long races in a row. The Monza listed is also a long drawn out affair, there is a new version of that track in the wings though made at a more suitable scale for Supercup.

Next season I'll be wanting to choose a track somewhere in the middle, we have the time to make a better version, we may even get some new creator props (Please R*) while lovepoppins track is not ideal it's the best we have to work with.

As for last nights last. Provisional results below, if there aren't any requests for stewarding decisions I'll finalise the results, so far my inbox has been quiet.

My Videos for Hungary, nothing to report.

Qualifying

Race

As for the Spa tracks, I prefer yours. The other one is too bland, it was hard enough concentrating for 4 laps, let alone how many the actual race would be. Plus it has barriers in lots of sections that don't need them (potential for making a small crash worse) and then doesn't have them on that corner where many of us went off the track.

I agree with the barrier issues. I'm going to see if they can be addressed. It won't be changing the route but just making things a little safer for racing.

here's my vid of the race :

didn't had any incidents, only on 5min50-ish there was a lagg-spike which might have sent @Trashbags1583070460 spinning, didnt feel any vibration in controller and wasnt any 'cars making contact' sound, but it still looks bad. i sent him message about it and still awaiting reply.

Love you too ? @Realjaysee

Was a good battle mate, bit of rubbing here and there but nothing to worry about. (My yellow bumper has bits of black paint all over it ?) Infact you actually got past me a couple of times only to run wide and let me back through!

It's the second Supercup race in a row you didn't bin on the last lap what's going on!! ?

Anyway pleased with my first podium of the season and first time I didn't finish 5th lol

@Squirrel Cheers for hosting as usual. Not sure about the Spa tracks to be honest. First track was really dull and boring with some dodgy barrier placement. The second one was more fun but still had some issues...

Anyway guys don't forget it's the Sultan RS Cup on Wednesday, details on here or on GTAF ☺

Great fun last night, it was hard to stay on mute. I ended up finishing in my qualifying position which I should be happy with but again whilst being cautious entering the first 3 corners (safety first guys ;)) I lost about five positions, was also victim of a crash between two other drivers.

Well done on another win BR, and well done to the Vansters for some great finishing positions. I gotta start practicing more than a day or two before to move higher up that top ten list.

Thanks as usual Squirrel :) I'll get my video posted today.

according to @Trashbags1583070460 i did hit him in the race, so the stewards should have a look at it.

heshould have my place at least or it wouldnt be fair on him. perhaps i also should get penalty?

Has @Trashbags1583070460 got his view of the incident

Just uploaded my pov of incident as requested other than that was a great race for me best result for.me by far looking forward to the next round thx all racers and @Squirrel

so sorry m8, never intended that. on my pov their wasnt the crashing sound and also my controller didnt vibrate, so i was putting it down to lagg in the race and didn't wait.

im ok if u take 5th place, because it sucks from ur point of view to lose a position like that..

i did also notice that in the first lap i gave @JuniorChubb a push, which (luckily) didnt cause any incidents, but registered on my pov. and after watching his i noticed that it didnt on his, lol, so chubb,  u werent going faster than usual, it was i who pushed u ;)

Here is my POV. Nothing to report.

@MAHALOKA thx for the boost, I still lost a few spots on those corners though :(

IMO The collision detection in GTA can really suffer when you have a lot of players in a race, especially if there is a lagger or two, this really needs to be considered when chasing/tailgating another driver.
