I live in Tours, France. It's a nice city located less than 1 hour from Paris by train (TGV).

It is situated in the Loire Valley so there are tons of beautiful Renaissance Castles less than an hour away by car.

City Hall :

Place Plumereau (Old Town Square) with lots of bars and restaurants :

The Cathedral :

And some of the most beautiful castles around (Chenonceau, Chambord, Villandry, Sully, Chaumont)

with lots of new members since this topic was created, I think it's time for a small boost.

I updated my own post on the previous page to replace Google Pics with my own.

The Cathedral, Chenonceaux and Chambord Castle are now my own pics. I'll try to snap shots of the other ones.

So new guys and gals : post those beautiful pics of your home towns !

I would but my hometown isn't gonna win any prizes for being the prettiest.

Famous poet, Dylan Thomas once called it "An ugly lovely town".

We're not all lucky enough to live in beautiful locations  :P.

Actually, I guess I could see what I can dig out .

DC may in fact post pictures of earlier times where he formed the Earth in 7 days, showed us fire, helped to part the Red Sea, created the Holy Grail and gave us the Internet.

We aren't worthy.

I thought it was "Pretty shitty city." ;):D

My hometown is a right shithole. No nice photos to be taken there. If I did I'd probably be beaten up and have my phone stolen. :)

Here is the view overlooking Swansea Bay, the marina and part of the town on a nice day:

Oystermouth Castle:

Swansea during the Blitz, it was heavily bombed as it was a main shipping port back then:

Swansea marina, when the sun is out some people like to pretend they are in Monte Carlo:

Welcome to Swansea Airport, this airport has actually just started running commercial flights but only to and from 4 UK cities, it was previously only used for the Wales air ambulance and pilot training:

Her Majesty's Prison Swansea, don't drop the soap!!

Catherine Zeta Jones' house in hometown Swansea, I doubt Michael Douglas would have had any issues in letting her keep this if they had split for good:

At the marina again, I always forget what this statue represents but it sure seems windy where he is!

All of these pictures are taken from Google, you can't walk around my town with a camera in hand and expect to not have it stolen from you along with your shoes  :P.

I live in Las Vegas, NV... so it's just a city with a bunch of really bright lights and drunk tourists.  If you Google 'Las Vegas, NV', you can see what my city looks like.  It's always changing and I haven't been on The Strip in forever.  However, I live southwest of The Strip and have some really pretty scenery in my backyard.

This is one picture I have of the Las Vegas "Strip" for those who have never seen it.  It's not a very good picture since I took it with my S4.

This is Red Rock National Canyon.  It's not too far from our house.  I'll just post one of the pictures I took, because I don't want to spam the board.  haha

The next one is just a sunset I took from my house, because it was just pretty and offers a different background other than casinos.

Again, I am not putting pics of my boring neighborhood -- but here are some nice pics of downtown Chicago I took a few years ago. Chicago is about 25 miles away from my house, so its kinda close!...

The really tall building in this picture is John Hancock Center -- 7th-tallest in the United States, and 34th-tallest building in the world:

The Bean or Cloud Gate:

Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, and behind it Aon Center -- 7th-tallest building in the United States and 30th-tallest building in the world:
