I know it's not where I live but I thought it would be nice to share pics from my trip across America for those who have never been to America or those that live there and have never ventured far :)

Some pics from the village I live and the surrounding area.  Not mine and a bit post card-ish. Will replace them with some of my own as soon as I got my phone sorted.

Local 'river'

The region is known for it's apple and pear orchards. Acres and acres, which is nice in springtime because of the blossoms, but not so much during a hot summer (fruit flies and wasps whoop whoop). No lack of tractors either :)

The castle, a few hundred yards away from my house. There's actually quite a few like these in the region.

Basically it's all flat farm land, no majestic mountains, blue oceans or wide open deserts here :). Below pic is from he fields behind the house.

Looks awesome, Vish!

Burj Khalifa is just insane. Do you know how far up you were on the 124th floor?

Its got 163 floors in total.

There's another observation deck on the 148th floor.(didn't go there)

According to wikipedia the 124th floor is 452m(1483 ft) high.

OK, here's one without all the ugly rooftops and not taken from a skylight, but a 15min walk away from my house, almost the same view as here though:

(forgot to resize it before uploading, so link will have to do)

Side "snapmatic" challenge: Can anyone locate the spot from where it was taken? (google street view is available btw and plenty of hints on the photo) :)

That is a sweet view Zmurko, I could take a picture but all you'd see would be my neighbours carpeted back garden...classy

Also probably one of the smallest, to the right of the door is the bar and to the left, the restaurant.  You can fit about 10-20 probably in the bar, standing!
