I skipped most of that video as they way he talks was messing with my head, his points on the career mode are very valid as it matches what I found on PC. Although that said, you don't have to complete every mode to unlock the next level so it can be done despite being frustrating at times.

Just taken a quick look before I head up to the farm, no joy on the server front as far as I can see.

PC version you could have your own server and then fill the field out with bots which is what I was hoping for.

@Squirrel we need the details so we can mount a campaign to resolve this, if it had been the same as PC I was even willing to just pay for a server for it that we could use for organised events etc.

I’ve just been talking about the same thing.

Consoles don’t have the necessary power to host a private lobby without some serious lag. 3rd party hosting is definitely the way forward. I’m also willing to pay a little each month to host a server if the option becomes available.

What extra stuff do we get with the premium version? Is it worth me spending an extra 20 quid?

All future DLC will be free (I think they have planned about 8 car packs?) Plus an exclusive car

WRECKFEST! WRECKFEST! WREFKFEST!

This game im amazing! Holy crapper the crap, such great fun!

Very happy i've got it and hopefully the online multiplayer part will bring even more fun eventually!

I'm about half way through the career mode now, unlocked quite a few cars. You unlocked the Limo yet? That thing is EPIC! lol :classic_laugh:

Are we wanting to try get on for some action sometime Thursday evening?

Given that SuperCup is usually finished well before 10pm on Monday, how about we do a online test afterwards?

Still not tried the multiplayer so not sure what options are available?

I've been playing Wreckfest since Monday and I have got fairly far into the campaign, which is starting to became a bit of a slog to be honest...

Overall its a great game but there are a few gripes:

  • Its a bit tight with the credits, especially considering some events require specific cars. I've skipped events purely because I didn't have enough coin to buy the required car.
  • The soft body damage is impressive but a bit too extreme to the point of being completely unrealistic, there's no way some cars would continue to drive given how squashed they get. It really needs dialling back a bit.
  • The AI can be a total pain in the backside. I know its banger racing, but getting constantly dive bombed into corners starts to grate after a while. Especially given that the AI seem to have much more grip than you so they can corner faster, and if you do it back to them you usually come off worse...
  • The cars in general are too soft, even with full armour some of the longer races become a real struggle to get to the end un-wrecked, especially given the overly aggressive AI on some of the later races in the campaign (as above)
  • The rubber banding is a total p*ss take at times

Maybe I'm nit picking, but with a few little tweaks I feel could be much better. :classic_tongue:

Not like you to find a few gripes in a game Myth 😂

I wonder if getting the AI right in Banger racing is tougher than in a normal racing game?

Good thing is half of those gripes may not apply when racing online, also community feedback may see some addressed.

I’ll probably be on after Supercup but I’m itching to get some online action in so I’ll be on tonight anyway. Good if more people join us.

I’ll get a party chat started and then we can work out what to do from there in terms of joining people.

The rubber banding is one thing that is being addressed.

If the soft body damage is too much then you can always switch the damage model to realistic. The cars still get as visually destroyed but your car won’t survive the punishment.

As for skipping events, the games being designed so you have to go back and complete them once you have the right cars unlocked. It’s the same in any racing game. There’s a little bit of a grind to earn credits but it’s easy to earn lots of cash in custom events.

If you complete everything first time whats keeping you coming back to the game?
