Do you play any musical instruments? Are you/were you in a band?

I used to play the piano and tenor horn but don't own either anymore. I played the tenor horn in bands at school, a wind band and a brass quintet. We only played things like school events, local village fetes, old folks homes and carol services as Christmas. I was never that good. I hated doing solos. Much preferred it if any mistakes I made could be covered by the sound from the rest of the band.

I play the Piano and I struggle with the guitar... I can sing (badly) and I played the valveless slide trombone in a Band for 1 year, but never really got the hang of it!

Was in a Dark Metal/Gothic Band when I was younger and another cover band a little while later.

Have a couple of songs written, but nothing major, a couple of Bar showings and not much more.

I was a drummer in school and for a short bit after. Never was to good at it IMO. Played bass guitar for a bit as well, equally sucked at it.

 

@WasHatched plays the french horn for his high school, he's quite good. He has been invited and played with the University of Illinois band twice during the Ilini football half time show and will be playing at Disney World in a couple weeks. He has recently taken up the guitar but he's not much more than a string plucker atm. He wants to get a fiddle.

Hilarious old video/clothes/room/slash poster from my 15 year old self.The old phone can't keep visuals up with the audio. But this was a bit of SRV style blues improv. Generally prefer that to learning songs note for note. Don't play as often these days

Play guitar half-assedly.

Was in a shit punk band with a couple of mates when I was 16, The Fuzzy Hoax.  We did do a pretty good cover of Come To Daddy by Aphex Twin though.
