Lann 10,846
And to lighten thing up.. our top guys holding the pressconference (remote) today are rightfully being critizised for the quality of their streams/cameras. 😂 Spoiler Quote Link to comment https://www.rockstarsocialclub.net/forums/topic/19444-coronavirus-pandemic/page/29/#findComment-229420 Share on other sites
Jjss924 576
So the 2 vaccines we have close to ready are said to be 90 and 95% effective. The human immune system is over 99% effective. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.rockstarsocialclub.net/forums/topic/19444-coronavirus-pandemic/page/29/#findComment-229422 Share on other sites
Sinister 2,583
Dr f*ck me says to keep on wearing that mask after you take the miracle shot. Makes sense. Still can’t figure out why I need one if YOURS works. Lann 10,846
Over here thay say wearing a mask and not knowing how to handle/wear it could easily have the opposite effect on spreading. Along with the possibility to create a false idea of safety, and reduce the distance that is more important. But who the hell knows.. Jjss924 576
Gov. Abbott said no more lock downs for Texas. We'll see how that pans out. At a skating rink with the wife and kids, no masks anywhere. I choose hokey pokey over covid. Lann 10,846
Just got another notification of confirmed covid in my kids close daily environment, usually a classmate or teacher. Over the last two months we must have received an average of 1-2 msg per week. It is also getting closer at work with confirmed cases at both my and the mrs workplace. Weird feeling. Stay safe! Squirrel 5,180
The vaccinations have started in UK. Finally a huge step towards beating the virus and heading back to normality. The second person to receive the virus is actually called William Shakespeare. Can’t make this stuff up. Sinister 2,583
Finally became personal. Two people in the wife’s family are on Ventilators. Three co workers very sick and at least one is confirmed positive. Expect the same trends to happen globally in mid January after Christmas and New Year. I’ve already told my mum I’m not seeing her at Christmas and she should stay at home in her nice safe area with low cases. She isn’t listening though and still driving up to see my sisters. There will be other events after this year, I have no problem cancelling all festivities for 2020. It’s a shame that many people are ignoring that advice and trying to carry on as normal. Lann 10,846
Yesterday they changed the recomendations to allow people over age 15 to practice sports again. Personally i feel releived to see my 17yr old daugther happy again after both her volleyboll and school been shut down. @Sinistersorry to hear that, hope things improve! We live in a interconnected world now, great postal services as well as internet communications mean you can socialise across the country and world without having to be there in person. It’s not the same as a physical connection but it’s the safer thing to do right now. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.rockstarsocialclub.net/forums/topic/19444-coronavirus-pandemic/page/29/#findComment-230325 Share on other sites
Sinister 2,583
Here at work it was caused by one guy showing up sick. Coughing and hacking everywhere. After that everyone in the service writer area is sick. I’m 800 miles from family and have no desire to see them so it makes not traveling for holidays very simple 🙂. I don’t do it any year. Sinister 2,583
I'm positive and so is the wife and the mother in law. MiL is in her 70s and has a sh*t ton of conditions so we have to keep an eye on her. Really wish she had stayed in KY rather than risk what has happened. Started on Monday and has felt more like a sinus infection than anything else. I was tired for a few hours one day but quickly recovered. Nothing but sinus pressure and headache after that, same with the other two. Then came the stomach problems but I've had that for decades. The sudden loss of smell let me know it wasn't sinuses. Took a rapid test this afternoon and the others got results from tests taken on Wed. Doctor say my lungs sound good and quarantine is 10 days from initial symptom start, so I'm off work until Thursday. It is still nothing but a sinus issue for me, even though stuff I read on the web states it doesn't mess with ones sinuses. Go figure. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.rockstarsocialclub.net/forums/topic/19444-coronavirus-pandemic/page/29/#findComment-230431 Share on other sites

Sinister 2,583
Thanks, everyone. Everybody is doing ok. Hoping my mother in law can keep her food down today. Sinister 2,583
They finally prescribed the Mother in Law one of those powerful drugs and she is doing better. Said that since the wife and I are younger our immune systems should do their jobs on their own. DavidCore89 7,404
My town now has the 5th highest Covid rate in the UK 😬 8 counties in the UK top 10. It's only getting worse. Sinister 2,583
Both kids have tested positive. Even though my case is mild, I can tell you that you want no part of this thing. The body aches alone are like nothing I have ever felt. Really messes with your stomach, going to the bathroom is horrible. Brings a terrifying reality to the term "sh*t Fire". 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.rockstarsocialclub.net/forums/topic/19444-coronavirus-pandemic/page/29/#findComment-230585 Share on other sites
