I've added the open wheel class without actually testing anything or doing that stuff, so perhaps this is a little more complex than I had hoped, to shoehorn OW races in

Adding the class is easy but that doesn’t make it an open wheel race with pit stops and tyre wear.

There’s an option to change race type to open wheel. This then requires you to change the pit start straight and add the pitlane area as well as a checkpoint for the pitlane.

I recommend copying the race first as there’s no option to use the track as a normal race once you change it to open wheel.

A number of quality-of-life improvements have been added to GTA Online:

  • Players can now return Personal Vehicles to storage via an option within the Interaction Menu.
  • Players can now own up to eight different Properties
  • Mashing the accelerator prior to starting a race is no longer a viable strategy to gain a speed boost. Instead, players can only receive a starting boost by timing their pedal press once “Go” is shown (or in the case of Open Wheel Races, when the countdown lights are removed).
  • Requesting a Pegasus Vehicle is more convenient than ever, with many additional spawn locations being added to reduce your travel time to the closest available location.
  • When entering the Diamond Casino & Resort, punters will now be told how long they will need to wait before spinning the Lucky Wheel again. That’s the last time you’ll see a clock inside of The Diamond, though, that’s for sure.

All of this summer’s gameplay and content updates are available in-game today with bonuses, awards and discounts featuring the new content to come across the summer and beyond - until the next major GTA Online update hits later this year: the next chapter in the GTA Online story and an all-new take on Heists.

Now other players become ghosted in R* OWR if they do not hit a CP within 15 seconds.

Return vehicle to storage option has been added, so no need to start an MC to do it.

New business battle involving the Aircraft Carrier. New import/export cars and all you have to do is paint it before delivery and it is free.

No drip feed vehicles , no flying rocket vehicles. It’s a win win. Imagine R* is actually listening.

Good job.

Yacht missions are a bit easy, me and trashy rolled through them in pretty quick time, a group of four would do them no problem. Quite the reward for the host upon completion aswell

also bought the penumbra ff, loads of customization options, but still pretty slow

  • When a player enters the Casino, they are now told how long they have remaining before they can spin the Lucky Wheel again.
  • A ‘Return Personal Vehicle to Storage’ option has been added to the Interactions Menu allowing players to return their personal vehicle whenever they choose.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in players being unaffected by the sudden death zone in the Adversary Mode – Sumo

Very happy about these updates/fixes.  Looks like a solid update overall.

So does this mean no redlining the engine before the start?

Just been in creator.

You can add the Open Wheel class no issues, however...

If you want to make it a fully fledged OW race you get this warning.

So I clicked OK, then my fantastic piece of artwork became a skeleton of a job which is now completely useless to man or beast.

In summary, we can race OW... but if you want tyre wear and working pit stops etc you have to build the jobs from scratch.

Just a predictable annoyance from R*.

I’m gonna slowly publish all my track races with Open Wheel class available, but sod creating them from scratch just for the ability to pit stop.

Going to fire this up on the PC since I will be able to buy everything. Anything in particular when it comes to vehicles that anyone wants to see let me know. I'm interested in seeing what the Benny's vehicles look like.

the benny's youga interests me, I've noticed its customed to a 4x4, not sure if that tickles my fancy or not

Same. I'm hoping it has other options and will let you know. The Yosemite looked interesting as well but if the door bars and such are the only option I'm not wasting money on it on the PS4.

Ok. Benny turns the Yosemite into a stock, short bed, off-road version and it looks great. A ton of modifications are available for it and I see myself owning multiples.  Currently the Benny mod is on sale  for 490k.

The Youga also turn into an off road version, with great detail. Not as many options for it but there are still a lot. The Benny mod is currently on sale for 901k.

I was wrong on the Gauntlet, it does have an option for the big rear spoiler. Matter of fact it has a ton of options. Benny treatment is also on sale and costs 570.5k

I imagine the other 3 are just standard issue low riders and once I find them to steal (yeah I’m cheap like that) I will find out.

Bought both the new open wheel cars (even though I hate the races)  and other stuff as well.

I LOVE the beater Dukes.

Appreciate this!!! When I get home later I will look through stuff and let you know what you can research for me...at your convenience.
