zmurko 7,622
All my recordings have finally uploaded, so here is all 9 races from my POV. Mostly pretty appaling driving, but few nice battles mixed in nonetheless. Could have had a few very good finishes (mainly in Pariah) if it wasn't for me messing it up at some point in every single race. SkyeDave 956
RESULTS PART 1. Rounds 1 to 3. The Xero Gas Manufacturers Super Cup would see the fastest cars from Annis, Benefactor, Dewbauchee, Grotti, Ocelot and Lampadati battle it out over 9 races. For the full entry list see the original post. Here’s how it played out. Round 1. American Grand Park – Sports Classics The first round saw Annis start at the front with the Savestra. Lampadati starting from second and Benefactor third. The faster Ocelots, Grottis and Dewbauchees hoping to make use of their extra speed on the long straights to move up the grid. They would do just that. By the end of the second lap the Lampadati Viserii (Plural of Viseris as of now) of @RammsteinDUDE and @mulderhad passed the Savestras to move to the front but they were being hunted by the Grottis of AlexHat and NicoMelo who had moved right up from the back into 3rd and 5th. @zmurko had got his Ocelot sw*nger up to 4th. @Challenger001 was the top Savestra in 6thand @SkyeDave, @Warriors-Ten, @djw180 and @Wilkibob rounded out the top 10. Lap 3 saw Nico and Zmurko come together allowing SkyeDave and Challenger to move back up to 4th and 5th. AlexHats Cheetah Classic was only a couple of second behind Mulders Viseris for the last two laps but he couldn’t get past. Lampadati finished with the top 2 with @AlexHat29 rounding out the podium. SkyeDaves GT Classic finished 4th with NicoMelo close behind in 5th. Nico set a blistering fastest lap in his crimson Cheetah Classic, 2 seconds faster than anyone else. @Mark Verstappen in the final Lampadati was 6th ahead of Challengers Savestra in 7th who did well to hold on to a top 10 in the least powerful car on the circuit. Wilkibob in the final Grotti was 8th. @Noelly was the top Benefactor in 9th and Easedlight rounded out the top 10 for Dewbauchee. Disappointment for Ocelot and the other two Benefactors. Ocelot were in the top 10 til they did a sycronised crash at the last chicane. It seems their 60s classic in the form of the Swingers and Stirlings couldn’t keep up with the slightly more modern machinery of the other manufacturers. Would they fair any better in the Sports class up next? Round 2. Casino Speedway – Sports Lampadati were leading the championship after the first round and they were flying the flag with an Italian tricolour of Komodas at the front of the grid for the Casino Raceway. Whether this was coordinated or blind luck is besides the point because they looked great. @badingaaa had now joined Annis and he and Challenger would be lining up in the Meinmacht liveried Elegy Retros from second. DJ preferring the RH8 would join them. Benefactor were running both the Schlagen GT and the Feltzer from 3rd. Grotti had two Itali GTOs while Nico Melo controversially chose the Bestia. Team Ocelot were hoping to make a better job of coming through the grid this time around with their lighting quick Pariahs. Dewbauchee would start from the back with their Massacro Racecars. By the end of the third lap only the Grotti of AlexHat had managed to get past the two Komodas of Mulder and Verstappen. Badingaa was clinging on to 4th in the underpowered Elegy Retro. The Pariahs had made excellent progress and were already up to 5th, 6th and 8th but with only one more lap to go how much further up the order could they get? Since the race ended it has come to light that a clerical error had meant the Casino Speedway Race was only held over 4 laps instead of 6. Ocelot launched an appeal as another couple of laps may have seen them improve dramatically. As it was, Zmurko would be the top Ocelot in third, moving up from 6th on the last lap @Protocawl made it to 5th with the fastest lap and @Lann dropped back a bit to 9th. Mixed fortunes for Grotti. AlexHat took the win. Wilkibob got his GTO up to 7th but NicoMelo may have regretted the choice of the Bestia GTS as he finished 14th. Verstappen somehow held onto 2nd in the Komoda. Mulder 6th and Rammstein 10th. For Annis Badingaa was impressive in the Retro Custom in 4th, Challenger held on to 8th. Benefactor and Dewbauchee all finished outside the top 10. Round 3. Mt Gordo – Sports Classics Annis at the front. Lampadati from second. Only Mulder going with the Viseris this time while Stap and Ramm switched to the Michelli GT. The 60s classics from Ocelot and Benfactor were hoping to do better this time around from 3rd and 4th respectively. The Grottis from 5th had one Cheetah Classic and two Turismo Classics as Nico and Wilkibob opted for the latter. Dewbauchee would take up the rear with a trio of Rapid GT Classics. A coming together before the hairpin made Noellys Stirling GT fllip out spectacularly, almost collecting Lann on the way. At the hairpin itself Dj would find his Savestra pointing in the wrong direction through no fault of his own. Then it was Zmurko and Proto synchronised crashing again into the Junk sign. Then Skyedave spun Rammstein round and then took out @Paulie Benefactor in the process. Finally Warriors would spin to take out Rammstein and SkyeDave and all this was only the first lap. It settled down after that as the car spaced out a bit and people got into their rythym. Except Wilkibob, he missed a checkpoint. The big winners were the Annis and Lampadati who held on to four of the top 5 spots between them by lap two. Alex had already got his Cheetah Classic up to 3rd and FoxUnit, the Dewbauchee rookie wildcard, was in a season high position of 6th before losing the rear end on the approach to the lighthouse hairpin. Then it was Paulies turn to lose the rear end from 6th place spinning out in to the same Junk Energy signs the claimed the two Ocelots on the first lap. Then the same sign would be the downfall of NicoMelos Turismo just after he took the now somewhat jinxed 6th place. Verstappen was putting up a brave fight in the Michelli GT in 4th with Challengers Savestra breathing down his neck. Challenger would eventually get passed when Stappen took to the infield but then Challenger would lose out to SkyeDave and NicoMelo in the next couple of corners. By now Mulder had taken the lead in the lone Viseris ahead of AlexHat. Both having got past Badingaa who had showed good early place. It was Alex who would take the win though by less than 2 tenths from Mulder. Badingaa 3rd, SkyeDave 4th just fending off NicoMelo who again got the fastest lap. Stappen and Ramm did well to keep 8th and 10th in the Michelli GT. FoxUnit got his first top 10 for Dewbauchee in 9th. Early coming togethers again meant the Swingers and Stirlings all finished outside the top 10. Perhaps they’d fair better in the Supers Class, up in the next post. 6 Quote Link to comment https://www.rockstarsocialclub.net/forums/topic/21901-manufacturers-super-cup-2020-this-wednesday-october-21st/page/3/#findComment-228372 Share on other sites
SkyeDave 956
RESULTS PART 2: Rounds 4 to 6 Round 4. Spa Francorchamps – Supers. The first Supers race. This class was one of the hardest to call pre season. Grotti would have two cars start at the front. The bright orange Furias of AlexHat and Wilkibob. Nico would opt to start from the back in the X80 Proto as he’d built the track. Ocelot with the XA-21s would start from 2nd ahead of Lampadatis new entry to the Supercar class the Tigon. Benefactor starting from fourth with their best chance of points yet, the Krieger. They were ahead of the Annis S80RR in 5th. Dewbauchee were starting from the back with the, now almost old school, Vagner. Disaster for Benefactor on the second lap. A coming together for Paulie which caused a mechanical failiure and retirement immediately followed by Warriors car failing. While Rammstein and NicoMelo bounced off the stricken Krieger of Paulie Warriors made his way back to the pits to get in the spare car which didn’t have any of the upgrades which would lead to him finishing last. Noelly would run 3rd for most of the race in the last remaining Krieger ultimately bringing it home in 4th for Benefactors best result so far. A 1-2 finish for Lampadati with Verstappen and Mulder. Rammstein had an early coming together with Zmurko which dropped him outside the top 10 but he staged an impressive comeback to 5th. Another podium for Badingaa in the S80-RR for Annis and a 6th for Challenger. While the Furias of Alex and Wilkibob dropped down and outside the top 10, NicoMelo used his home advantage to get the X80 Proto up to 10th. An impressive 7th for Proto in the XA21. For Zmurko and Lann it was becoming apparent that the Pariah was going to be Ocelots best chance and scoring podiums. Dewbauchee got two Vagners in the top 10 with SkyeDave and Fox. Round 5. Delirium – Sports Classics Annis at the front with the trusty Savestras would be hoping that their handling on the twisty track would overcome their lack of horsepower on the straights. Benefactor now with only two cars would start from second. Lampadati had finished their flirtations with the Michelli GT and were now back to a full complement of three Viserii The Ocelots had their sights set on the Benefactors in the 60s subcategory that had now developed. Grotti, this time with three Cheetah Classics would be hoping to make swift progress through the pack. Dewbauchee with the three trusty Rapid GT Classics would start from the rear but get all tangled up with each other in the first couple of corners. They would however all pass the Savestra of DJ on his roof and the patiently waiting Wilkibob who had just punted him over. Lampadati would dispatch the Annis and Savestras ahead of them fairly early on to score another 1-2 with Verstappen and Mulder. Rammstein finishing in 6th. Annis would get another podium with Badingaa (who so far hadn’t finished outside the top 4). Challenger was midfield battling throughout to come home 9th while DJ could only recover to 15th from the early coming together on lap 1. Grotti had mixed results. AlexHat getting to 4th. NicoMelo had a couple of early spins but recovered well to 5th with another fastest lap. Wilkibob made it to 11th after his early accident. For Ocelot Zmurko managed a couple of gnarly barrier grinds, once on his own and once with help. Lann and him would come home 12th and 13th. Protocawl taking top 60s era honours in 7th. Were it not for Noelly spinning twice at the same chicane two laps running he may have done better but he still got the lone running Stirling GT to 10th at the end. Round 6. Martini c*ck Tease – Supers Two Grottis at the front. Ocelots 2nd. Followed by Annis, Lampadati, 2 Benefactors, the third Grotti and then the Dewbauchees. It was the tightest Super track of the event, a perhaps ill advised street track. It was a surprisingly clean first few corners with only DJs S80RR attempting to ram raid a souvenir shop with Badingaas help. Badingaas first attempt at a comeback would be thwarted when hit Protos already crashing XA21. SkyeDave and Lann were next to park their Supercars in peoples front gardens. After the first few accidents, notably on the first lap, there was also lots of good clean high speed street racing throughout the midfield which made for a great race. Ultimately it would be another 1-2 for Lampadati this time for Stappen and Ramm with the Tigon proving to be somewhat of a dark horse in this event. Mulder would bring the third Lampadati home in fourth for an almost maximum haul of points for the Italian team. They would have had the top three were it not for Badingaas impressive come back. Despite a couple of early accidents he managed to recover to 3rd getting a fastest lap which was four seconds quicker than anyone else in the process. The other two Annis didn’t fair so well, both finishing well down the order. Warriors got a much need result for Benefactor scoring his best result 5th with Noelly coming home a solid 7th AlexHat was delighted to hold on to 6th in the Grotti Furia. Ocelot finished almost in convoy in 10th 11th and 12th after some intense battles in the midfield. Dewbauchee managed two in the top 10 with Fox losing 8th to SkyeDave only on the last lap because of team orders. Join us for the next round of Supercars in the next post. 5 Quote Link to comment https://www.rockstarsocialclub.net/forums/topic/21901-manufacturers-super-cup-2020-this-wednesday-october-21st/page/3/#findComment-228373 Share on other sites
SkyeDave 956
RESULTS PART 3: Rounds 7 to 9. Round 7. LS Speedway Infield - Supers Keeping the seats warm in the Supers class we went straight on to the final Supers event. This time it was 2 Grottis at the front then the Ocelots, 2 Lampadati, (As Mulder would sit this one out) 2 Benefactor, Annis, Nico Melos Grotti and then Dewbauchee. This time Badingaa wouldn’t have any early accidents to overcome and would bring it home for a 1st win for Annis and with the fastest lap. Challenger would bring the second car home an impressive 5th while DJ may have done better in the third car had he not been tag teamed early on then repeatedly harassed by the Dewbauchee team. The two Lampadatis rounded of the podium with Verstappen in 2nd and Rammstein in 3rd. With another 4th place for Noelly with the Krieger and Warriors finishing 7th only (losing out on 6th on the last lap) this was Benefactors best result. Grotti held on for as long as possible and ultimately finished 8th, 9th and 10th in cars not favoured to finish in the top 10. Dewbauchee managed a 6th as SkyeDave nicked some places of the Grottis on the last couple of laps. Team Ocelot were glad to put the XA21 behind them and get on to the last two races with the Pariah. Round 8. Nurburgring - Sports This race would see the return of Mulder but the last of Badingaa who would miss the last two races. So, Benfactor at the front. Warriors in a Feltzer, Noelly with the Schlagen GT. Then the tricolour of Komoda, back up to three cars for this event. Annis next, Challenger with the Elegy Retro, DJ with the RH8 Then Ocelot. Then Grotti. Then Dewbauchee. The tight and twisty stuff would claim some victims. An early crash for Wilkibob followed later by an excursion off the edge of a cliff would hamper his efforts to get his Grotti to the front. The Lampadatis would be fighting amongst themselves for the lead all through the first lap all having a shot at leading the race. But first Rammstein would crash out with one of the chargin Pariahs. Then Stappen just approaching the end of the 1st lap. This meant NicoMelo was already in the lead in the Grotti from the back of the pack oat the end of lap 1. On the second lap it was SkyeDaves turn to launch it off a cliff from 4th place. Then we saw a message in the bottom of the screen that Rammstein had blown up. Reports of what happened are so far unconfirmed. So it was NicoMelo who took the win and fastest lap, this time 8 seconds faster than anyone else, in the crimson Cheetah Classic. Mulder held off Alexhat to take 2nd. Stappen recovered to 4th after his spin ahead of Challenger an impressive 5th in the Retro Custom, Then SkyeDave 6th, a best finish for the Massacro Race Car. Zmurko and Proto got two Pariahs in the top 10 in 7th and 9th but they’d hoped for better. They had the pace but a couple of time costly accidents held them back. Wilkibob did well and recovered the final Grotti to 8th while Dj rounded out the top 10 with his RH8. Round 9. Mount Panorama – Sports This was another track by @JuniorChubb Credit to him for building so many tracks for us to race on. Benefactor would start the final round from the front, both in Feltzers hoping for better luck on the race circuit then they’d had on the road race. Lampadati would continue trying to prove that the Komoda isn’t as bad as everyone thinks with some impressive results so far. The two Elegys would start from 3rd followed by the Itali GTOs, three Pariahs with something to prove and then the Massacro Racecars. Carnage on the back straight would see Stappen up in the air, Warriors facing in the wrong direction (he went from 2nd to 2nd last very loudly) and Wilkibob and Lann both spinning down the track. This gave Noelly a brief spell in the lead for Benefactor but the Grottis were already on him and a small collision left him and NicoMelo tumbling down the order allowing AlexHat to take the lead. Zmurko finally had some good luck in avoiding all of this and was up to 4th by the end of the first lap. SkyeDave crashed from 5th at the hairpin causing a pile up which left him and DJ dropping right down to 11th and 12thand simultaneously letting the remaining Pariahs and Itali GTOs through to go chasing after the leader. AlexHat would manage to hold on to the lead though, fending of Zmurkos Pariah by under half a second. Ocelot would get their best result of the night with a double podium with Zmurko and Proto (who got another fastest lap) as well as Lann coming home in his best finish of 6th. As well as the win Grotti picked up a 4th with Wilkibob, his best result, and 7th with Nico. Mulder held on to an impressive 5th for Lampadati. Verstappen recovering from his first lap incident to 9th. Challenger and DJ were both in the top 10 (8th and 10th) for Annis. It was a poor race in the end for Dewbauchee and Benefactor who finished outside the top 10 if they finished at all. Join us in the next post for the final results. SkyeDave 956
FINAL RESULTS Race Results *denotes fastest lap Drivers Championship So in the Drivers Championship it’s Congratulations to @Mark Verstappen who took the victory ahead of @AlexHat29, @mulder, @RammsteinDUDE and NicoMelo. Worthy of note was @badingaaa who only competed in 5 of the races but still managed 6th in the Drivers championship finishing in the top 4 in every race he entered. If he was better at timekeeping and didn’t have such sh*t internet then maybe it would have been a different story. @SkyeDave, @Challenger001 @Wilkibob and @Protocawl rounded out the top 10. Top Benefactor driver was @Noelly in 11th followed by @zmurko , @Lann and @djw180 who were close together on the track as well as off it. Thanks to rookie wildcard FoxUnit and Easedlight for agreeing to drive for the ill fated Dewbauchee team at such short notice and doing pretty well considering they had to start at the back of every single race. We hope @Warriors-Tenand @Pauliemake full recoveries after their early retirements and will come join us again at the next one. Manufacturers Championship In the Manufacturers Championship it will come as no surprise that, with three out of the top 4 drivers, Lampadati ran away with it. Although they had slower cars on paper they started closer to the front and did a surprisingly good job of fending everyone off towards the end. The Tigon turned out to be a much better car than expected in the right hands. The Viserii have such wide arses they were difficult to pass and the Italian tricolour of Komodas looked so pretty on the track it seemed a shame to break them up, Congratulations to Lampadati. Their closest rival Grotti had more fastest laps than anyone else but also more work to do having to come from the back in two of the classes and being in a much slower car in the third. Alex, Nico and Wilkibob did a good job of coming through the field but just fell short of troubling their Italian rivals in the overall standings. Annis were perhaps a surprise 3rd place, the only team to win other than Lampadati and Grotti with some good consistent results from all their drivers. Ocelot will rue the 4 lap clerical error at Casino Speedway. They showed great pace in the Pariahs but the XA21 and Swingers were too incosistent for them to make an impression this time around. Dewbauchee will be happy to get so close to Ocelot especially as they were struggling for drivers at one point. Benefactor showed great promise in the Supers class but with only two drivers for so much of the event they were always going to struggle. They’ll be hoping for better luck next time. A big thanks to all competitors for their patience, politeness and clean racing. We hope you’ll all join us again in 2021 for the next Manufacturers Supercup. This will take place next time I'm between jobs again and clearly have far too much f*cking time on my hands. RammsteinDUDE 648
35 minutes ago, SkyeDave said: Then we saw a message in the bottom of the screen that Rammstein had blown up. Reports of what happened are so far unconfirmed. Engineers at Lampadati are still trying to find out what exactly happened. Their driver said in a press conference it was a brake failure, but the engineers couldn't find any evidence for this claim. Rumours go around the paddock now it was Rammstein's his own fault, be he's to embarrassed to admit it. Unfortunately there weren't any witnesses around, so it's safe to safe we might never know what exactly happened. Challenger001 70
Brilliant lineup, I'm just pleased to have fought as hard as the little Annises could where in the world of GTA there's no replacement for displacement. Badingaa did the most work but it was a good run. I just think next time Lampadati should look at getting just a teensy bit more of a nerf. 😉 Good job Dave, thanks again for running this. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.rockstarsocialclub.net/forums/topic/21901-manufacturers-super-cup-2020-this-wednesday-october-21st/page/3/#findComment-228501 Share on other sites
