Pb76 3,952 Posted September 26, 2014 Share Posted September 26, 2014 I decided today that I'm sticking with ps3 until ps4 has a MASSIVE price drop, I simply can't justify £300+ for the console, plus the cost of a couple of extra controllers, a new headset, the games and whatever else I'd need.In fact, if my ps3 died tommorrow, I'd buy another one. Only gonna add that if you have the Sony Pulse or Pulse Elite now, they as suppose to work with the PS4. I can vouch for the Pulse Elite as that is what I use, can not vouch for the Pulse though. A good month for games, a bad month for real life! We should get a Far Cry thread going on here to see who plays - I know in 4 you can jump in and out of each others story modes as well as play the usual online stuff. But I'm not sure about gta v though, because I'm starting to dislike this game. I'd like to see MAJOR updates for next gen gta you know? I will not buy it again for just better graphics and some other minor (useless) upgrades. Not too sure when, depends also if you can switch your character between the consoles and who is on it. When I save up some more money and some more games come out I'll make the switch so probably late this year or early next year. So I'm curious. Post here if you are staying on the PS3 platform after the release You can just list your name or praise the PS3 in all it's glory, I don't care I think it will be nice to have a list of members who will still be playing on the old platform. They did mention you can one time forward your RSC progress from one console to another type .. once (I believe only once). So this should apply to PS3 to PS4 because they are different systems even though all the data you actually need is located on RSC. Once you transfer I can only assume it is "reset", yeah. So it'd probably be like starting from scratch. That's part of the reason I suggested maybe a slight pause in things (sudden and stark member divide) (and I'm sure it'll be a hot mess for the first couple weeks anyway). I'll keep that in mind. We'll probably just buy the system and game and hold off on the transfer. Since I've heard that it would be resigning up for PSN on the new system I'd go away from TorridLS1 anyway. I'm not sure how that works yet either.
