It certainly looks that way if you read the official Sony blurb. It's not the end of the world at £39.99 a year (£5.49 per month) but it is another expense to consider if that is the case. most people i know myself including try to get the 1yr subscription around black friday(sometimes certain stores have them on sale to for half off) as its usually half off 25$ dont know if there is black friday in the uk/europe. so i buy 2 yrs worth of plus then after just a yr so i always have a yr in reserve lol just saw this deal on best buys website. if i didnt get into an accident 2 months ago i would of done this today. but i want to learn more about the character transfer and what gets transferred to the ps4. if its just you level then its not worth it, though i have my eye on a couple ps4 games so gta 5 wouldnt be the only game i would get Trade In and Trade UpMinimum $150 in Best Buy gift cards when you trade in a working Xbox 360 250GB or Sony PS3 Slim console at a participating Best Buy store. pretty much only paying 250ish for a ps4 Valid 10/19/14–10/25/14. Smurf 947 Posted November 5, 2014 Share Posted November 5, 2014 chances are I will end up with a Xbox One due to the fact that the country i'm in power consuption tax is high and it uses less. I am really holding out until the slim versions of both the PS4 Slim and Xbox One Slim comes out to guage the power consumption in that regard and wait a couple months to see if those models develope any drastic issues before green lighting a purchase. The next reason is the control, I love the Xbox style control that is also compatible with PC's which is great for me as well. I dont have to buy anymore pricey after market ones as I did for my pS3 and the battery life far exceed what the PS4 brings to the table, I would just throw in my rechargable eneloop's and play on. plus I am getting myself a surface pro soon so its great that I could use it as a screen to play games further lowering my power consumption. I will mostly play online on PS3 still and do story mode on PS4. Last night actually convinced me that I shouldn't even think of loading this game on the PS3.I started with the EU 1 PL,played 2 jobs and got kicked.Waited for EU2 and the same thing happened again.Absolutely lost it after that. I was still awake for NA 1 and thought I'll give it one last shot.No luck and AGAIN the same thing happens,kicked on the 2nd job.
