Overwatch 2 releases tomorrow and it is free to play, so you have no excuses to not try it in the very least.  It is a 5v5 multiplayer game with a diverse roster of 35 characters, each with unique styles and abilities, and maps spread across the globe.  The game modes are all objective based where you have to do stuff like capture and defend points or escort payloads across the map.  This is very unlike other FPS games in that you don't need just pure mechanical skill to win, with strategy, team synergy and ability management being incredibly important.

I love this game and it would be awesome to play with you guys some time 🙂

I've downloaded this ready to try. If I see you on over the weekend I'll join. From the description in your OP, I definitely think I'll enjoy this.

After a few rounds with Lime, Ally, and Jag, I definitely think I'll play this more. It takes a bit to get used to, especially the roles and each characters abilities etc. But its definitely a fun combo of RPG style roles (tank, dps, support) with traditional FPS. 

I personally enjoyed one of the support roles as a noob. I forget what it was called, but it felt a lot like the healer roles I've played in RPGs. Mostly hiding from the enemy while providing dps buffs and heals. A good intro role while trying to figure out wtf is going on 😆 (There are support characters with more dps abilities than the one I played though). Ill give dps and tank more of a go during the week.

The objectives seem fun, but Im still getting a hang of whats going on so cant say too much about that other than having noticed different characters seem better for different objectives.

I definitely recommend people try this out, especially with friends and crew. Considering its free, why the bloody hell not? 😀

If we can get a few more people I can organise some games against bots so you can really get used to the game without try-hard 12 year olds flexing on us all night 😄 

Once you learn the characters, and I don't mean how to play them because I can't even do that, but just learning what they can do, it becomes a lot easier to follow what's happening and figuring out when to engage and when to back off.

Olla was watching when I was playing with you guys and said he wants to give it a try. Im also going to try talk my cousin Joel (aka @Zadk13l91) into giving it a try too.

All the guys here that like combat jobs in GTA more than racing, you should all be jumping to try this out with fellow crewmates 😀

 

Edit: I should also add that, to me, this didnt feel at all like CoD, BF, Halo, etc in terms of being a FPS. If it were, I wouldnt bother encouraging people to give it a try.

Interested in trying this out and since I have never played it would be nice to have some familiar voices in game. Read that cross play with PC players takes away auto aim for the console players so if that is an issue I will play on the PS5.

Olla and I will both be on after 2bros this weekend. He's given this a try and made me look bad lol

He has played less than half the games Ive played on this, and not only has he actually played far better than me, but he's already had 2 POGs. I spent my whole time being destroyed lol

The Halloween event is live from today until the 9th of November, and if you're a new player it will be your first chance to check out some PvE content which is a lot of fun.
