Pr0fane 495
I can't swear to it nor offer concrete proof, but I put off-road tires on my Blade last night (2wd muscle-car) and drove it to the top of Mount Chiliad. My own impression is that they do indeed offer some grip. DavidCore89 7,404
yeay! i got spoilers installed! but how about tyres? i ask DG, he said he use offroad tyres on some of his racing cars. what type to use? especially to take corners on asphalt. The off road tyre trick is not actually for off road. Some racers use them so when they are racing through town, they do not lose control when the car goes over a curb or a grass centre divide. Sports and high end tyres have less sidewall on the tyre, the large sidewall on the off road tyres apparently helps the car to keep speed when going over uneven ground as mentioned above. Do I use off road tyres? No, only on my Sandking and Bifta, they look absolutely ridiculous on road cars and I can keep up with those who do use them without any major problems.
