Con 5,719
Hello Everyone. Just wanted to open a thread were we can discuss and coordinate assisting one another in unlocking some of our most wanted Career based Rewards. I know I lost two days of my life trying to finish the Dispatch Tier 4 challenges and even as of now, I still need the Tier 4 >50% damage one, and it would have been so much easier, barely an inconvenience, had I just did them with a friend. A skilled friend who is willing to do the mission on his own while you sit outside and lift not a single finger. So, I don’t want crew members to have to stress over rewards that honestly, we should have already after playing the game over and over again for 10 years!!!! Please post the reward or challenge you are after and please post what you need the other player to do and offer to return the favor and let’s see what happens…I’ll start. I need the: Madrazo Contact Mission- Dispatch 1 - Tier 4 - 50% damage. I need someone to do the mission while I sit outside doing nothing. As soon as you go over your list, let me know and we can take care of as many as you want to unlock. As much as I want to unlock my stuff, I already know I will get the most satisfaction from helping my crew unlock the rewards they have to have! Perhaps we can knock some off after 2Bros or before. Just post your desired day and time and job or activity. By the way, I will be signing in tonight probably 10PM EST, so I’ll be available to help tonight. 1 Quote RSC FILM CLUB Link to comment https://www.rockstarsocialclub.net/forums/topic/26988-career-progress-planning-execution/#findComment-244479 Share on other sites

Con 5,719
@Smurf Hey bredda man I saw a while back you mentioned something in the PS app about being able to restart your second character with the new feature that gives you $4M to spend. Did you start your second character all over from the bottom or did you continue the progress from last gen? So here is my question. My second character is actually my main character. Could I delete my first character and start him fresh, I understand I only get $1M to keep, while leaving my second (main) character unchanged? move tried to Google an answer but I’ve found nothing like my situation. Smurf 947
Yes, you can delete your first character. But make sure that all the money is in the Bank and cars sold that's on the first character. When you recreate it, you should be able to get the second character's rank along with all the abilities maxed out as well. Con 5,719
@omarcomin71 so I had to plug my ps4 in last night to see the videos from the Auto Shop contracts and realized the clips are old, like when I would hide in the tunnel after stealing the gold in the Union Depository. I still do most of the same things, except I don’t hide anymore, I just drive and lose the cops on the way. I will re-do the contracts and record commentary for you. I will also do the ones I usually don’t do just to see if I need to add them to the rotation. Like I said yesterday, the current list I do, and including the UD, nets me $750K, but If you were to do all the contracts available it’s $1.5M. the only thing that would destroy my love for the auto shop contracts would be of Rockstar disabled our use of the Torreador during the missions. That would suck. But thankfully, the UD contract doesn’t rely on it. I really feel it’s only a must have for the SuperDollar deal. One of the vids is during I think the triple auto shop week and the jobs were paying $340K to start!!! And the UD was paying $600K !! No wonder I made like $30M that week. I’ll unlist the old vids and share them with you anyways later today. Con 5,719
@omarcomin71 @Lann Here I do the setups and finales for The Union Depository (UD), ECU, SuperDollar, Agency, and Bank Contracts. Obviously @1:44:50, once the Mission Passed message appeared, I could have just done the "Find New Session" and saved tons of time on that Setup. I kept spawning in my garage next door to the Auto Shop because on the PS4, I get stuck loading outside the auto shop in public and invite only sessions, in case you were wondering and missed that part of the commentary. @2:06:00, I could have easily drove around a block or two to lose that cop car that followed me to the treasure/recipe box. But what slowed me down more than having to shoot a few cops was not finding the dirt mound sooner. So do yourselves a favor and look up YT vids that show all the possible locations for the recipe box dirt mound so you don't waste time as you still have to drive some distance once you do find the recipe box. @2:16:00 - 2:19:45, Here I am canceling contracts in order to refresh the board. You can see the UD become available again, and that is the beauty of the auto shop, you busy doing the contracts you find fun and you won't notice the UD cooldown. @2:22:00, I do the Bank Contract, I was on the phone for the setups, (but get back on the mic in time for the finale) but as you can see, the only setup is quite easy with an Oppressor or even the Sparrow. I like the Oppressor cause you can swoop down and just fly out. The second setup, I start it but immediately just 'find a new session' and you can see during the bank finale, that the quicker police response of bypassing the Signal Jammer setup, does not make a single thing any harder. Just follow my tip of not shooting cops until after you have grabbed the cash and are on your way out the bank. I usually just do the SuperDollar, Agency, and Bank Contracts...those net me $490.5K, and throw the Union Depository job to them and that's $760.5K for 2 hours. My vid is 2hrs 28mins, but I wasted a lot of time during some of those contracts, like the recipe box, holy man, I could not remember that spot by the painted wall. And you can certainly make these go faster by job warping. A technique I look to master in anticipation of the next Auto Shop Double or Triple Cash event. During dub cash, the UD pays a staggering $540K and a jaw dropping $810K the time it went for triple. And sometimes you get lucky with the Contract Cancelling and the game has no choice but to give you a Union Depository before the cooldown has expired!! The Auto Shop grind is something I only recommend for people with Sparrows or Oppressors MKII and the Torreador. Those vehicles make everything so much easier and faster. I'm looking to get proficient with the contracts I usually ignore, like the Prison and Lost contracts, but I'd like to throw one of those into my rotation. So if you find easier, faster, or more fun ways to do those, please share. Thanks and good luck. Con 5,719
Update: Gerald's Last Play Missions - Probably the most fun once I got the hang of them. And by hang of them, I mean having the proper vehicles like the MK2 and the Khanjali. They really make it possible to get all achievements done in the first run through. But that does add stress to it. So I do what is recommended, do your best on Hard and if you miss the 50% damage and 80% accuracy, just redo them on Easy difficulty, which can be fun when you realize you dont have to worry about not using health, armor, and counting your shots. The most difficult one was End Product because you have to protect the Mule, while keeping 80% and the 50% intact. If you don't get the Vespucci one, Find New Session until you get that one, the other one at the Union Depository is doable but you have higher chance of the Mule being shot up too much, so only do the Vespucci location. I didnt own a Khanjali, but I saw on a vid how much easier I could make my life. So if you plan on starting your career progress rabbit hole, I highly suggest you buy that tank. It ensures your 80% accuracy and 50% damage, and poor enemies when you have to redo them on Easy difficulty. Buy the Khanjali. It counts as a personal vehicle like Kuruma. Madrazzo's Dispatch Missions - These were the first career progress missions I actually did. While Gerald's and Simeon's missions (which I will talk about below) can be done with the MK2 and Khanjali, some these Dispatch missions require you to be on foot and be a good shot because you have to go inside buildings. The good news is that except for the police station one (Dispatch 1) in the other ones, you can get stupid close without the enemies seeing you and that makes it easy for you to maintain that 80% accuracy. Again, you might need to go back and do the 50%-80% stuff if you miss them on Hard, but the consolation is you get to do them on Easy. So say you get the 80% but miss the 50%, when you go back for the 50%, you can shoot all the bullets you want, cause all you need to focus on is not being shot more than 50% of your health. For me believe it or not, Dispatch 1, the police station one, is the reason I started this thread in the first place. I just could not get the 50 or the 80 for the longest, yes even on Easy difficulty. Of course that was before learning about equipping the armor at the job start menu, when you do that, the armor you bought somehow counts as your health bar, so you can only lose 25% of your green health bar or you fail the 50% damage. Eventually, I got real lucky with the cop and swat spawns inside the building and was able to get out without getting shot more than once. What a relief that was. My suggestion is to watch multiple YT videos so you can see the different approaches you can take and see what works for you on all these missions. Simeon Deluxe Repo Missions - Except for failing the GTA Today 2 one once because R* decided to cheat me with :45 left for the mission to end. I already had one car at the drop off, Im arriving with the last car, cops following me, have to lose cops, they are getting super close, cant call Lester cause I have already used him. I change into scuba and jump in water. With :25 to go, cops finally give up, but I can't find the ladder to go up and I still have to get in both vehicles and literally drive them INCHES to the yellow markers. No ladder in sight. FAIL. Attempt two, all goes well but I don't get the 50% damage, cops shot me up while chasing me. Attempt three, should have been a breeze cause I didn't have to worry about accuracy, but I get killed by cops when driving the sw*nger out the police station. Attempt four, a f'n breeze, I'm delivering the first two cars at a blistering pace, last two cars, I make sure I start the sw*nger but get out to kill a few cops that arrive, barely get shot, arrive at docks, I dont wait for Wanted level to go away, I just drop off car, go grab the last car from car park, I have now saved Lester's services for when I arrive with the last vehicle to docks. Super easy, I had three minutes to spare. Burn Rate was also one I was worried about and with good reason, putting car fires out while avoiding getting shot more than 50% while in a Fire truck, on a timer is not easy. I almost spent $3M on the armored truck that sprays water, the RCV. But glad I didn't because I ended up having to go back for my 50% on Easy and by then I was able to get out of truck, shoot like Rambo, get in fire truck, put out first set of cars, rinse and repeat, no pun intended. Run over the enemies and use the flatbeds to protect you from bullets. Oh and how did I achieve the 80% accuracy you ask? Well, after you put the car fires out, you get prompted to kill all the enemies. So just drive around the corner, call your Khanjali and have fun, just don't kill the blue circles, those are Simeon's friends and if you kill one of them, you fail. Take your time calling your tank, the timer goes away once you put out the last car. The only tip I really suggest you follow is that you run over the guy you see tossing Molotov cocktails at you, your fire truck will catch on fire and explode. These by far have been the easiest of the Tier 1-4 I have done. Do you even Lift is super easy, but tedious and easy to fail the 50% if you blow up in the Cargobob. Not gonna lie, I was elated when I finally finished that one. The Sasquatched one can be easily done because after you have stolen the Sasquatch, you dont have to use it to kill the targets, just get out of it, call the MK2 and kill those targets, then fly back to Sasquatch and drive it to Simeon's. Not sure which one's I will do next. I really have been trying to get those 5 adversary wins for that shirt but joining the randoms the past few days in the Sumo (remix) have been nothing short of frustrating. I get nothing but the worst teammates. I have not been on a winning team yet. Here I was thinking, 5 adversary wins, this will be easy. Nope. I really want 20 wins for that tiger mask, but I might have to bribe one of you for those wins. Any volunteers? Con 5,719
About to start my 100 pay phone assassination Tier 4 achievement. have to do that and complete a Short Trip job as Franklin to unlock the LD Organics van and sucks that I have to start over since they reset for the career progress….only 97 more pay phone hits to go. Did get good news regarding that this week, looks like they lowered the Payphone Hit cooldown from 48 minutes to 10 minutes but also lowered the payout. 97 payphone hits…seems like a lot but in fairness, the first time I saw The Contract Tier 4 career progress requirements, I said to myself, “i’ll never get the LD Organics van, that’s way too much work.” But here I am. Like always, if anyone needs help completing career progress stuff or just want an easy shortcut to a reward, let me know, I’ll be more than happy to run the mission while you sit safe and comfy away from the action. * Funny Rockstar is now telling me the mission I need is Fire it Up as Lamar, not OG Kush as Franklin. Now I know what I read cause I spent an entire weekend trying to get randoms to help me and they had a tough time staying alive as Lamar. No way would I have been attempting it if I needed a different one. Rockstar playing games. Con 5,719
@D-Rocks 100 Payphone Hits… My location: I set my spawn to the Vinewood Car Club (at the Terminal), this way I would just walk out, Oppressor MK2 outside, hop on, call Franklin for Payphone hit, fly 5 seconds to Payphone and get job. I really recommend sticking to the Payphone at the terminal for ease of spawn at Vinewood Club, and that Payphone always ensures the Hits stay in Los Santos. The furthest hits will be at the Golf course but those are super fun and easy. Even the bomb the Hole, once you know where the holes are, it’s easy and super fun watching the judge get blown up. Remember to always look for the golf ball at the designated hole that confirms you are at the correct hole for the bomb planting. Also sticking with this Payphone, I always got the same target locations. Meaning, like the CEO hits, the location was always at the same place. And the hotel hits will always be at the same two places. I cannot stress the benefits of location familiarity for these Payphone hits. They will become second nature. My equipment: Oppressor MK2 - Nothing beats this mode of transportation when getting to the targets. Especially the “Kill Targets in 7 mins”. For that job, I tried different target rotations, and found that for me the least stressful way was to start with the guy by the Casino, then guy near LS Customs, then guy walking near Franklin’s Aunt house, and then guy at beach. Pretty sure if you start with the beach guy first (the opposite of what I do) might be faster, but for me, starting with the guys on the right felt right. Agency - This is to launch Specialist(+) Security Contracts (I already had the 100 required, so I did the Dr. Dre Leak missions, made a few million with that, bonus earnings.) Auto Shop - After being bored of Agency work to kill cooldown, I speed ran my fave Auto Shop Contracts. (Making easy money while cooldown, well, cooled down.) I found this a great way to pass time through the setups and their finales. Salvage Yard- Again, beneficial for the cooldown timer since recovering one vehicle usually cuts the cooldown by half or more. Only negative is, once two cars are recovered, you have to wait for salvage payout before you can tow again. But it was a nice change of pace to have tow and vehicle setup and robberies sprinkled in between. Sniper MK2 & Regular Sniper rifles- I used these exclusively for the CEO target. I was about 1/4 done with the 100 Payphone hits when I found the sweet spot on gorund level that allowed me to kill the CEO with the bulldozer, container, and my fave, the gas tank. My regular sniper has better zoom ability (could be the scopes?) and makes hitting the bulldozer driver and container trigger much easier than the zoom on my Sniper MK2. The only time I used my Sniper MK2 w/explosive rounds was when I had to kill the CEO with the gas tank. The Oppressor MK2 is so valuable, if you get the bulldoze one, you can get it done before the target moves, making it quick and easy. You can see the location I snipe from in the links below. Sparrow- Very useful to evade wanted levels and ground enemies. Its ability to spawn very near cannot be underrated. Here is some of my Twitch footage: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2024253885 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2025248879 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2026270678 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2027193054 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2027193054 You can see how I started out a bit clunky and as I got more comfy, I really made them look easy. Like how I tried throwing the Molotov at the moving target. Thankfully, I stuck with the gasoline pour strategy which was less stressful and more fun. You can see the mastery in the later streams. The only Payphone hit I occasionally refused to even attempt was the “Kill Target with Truck Cab”….this can get super frustrating and can take up to 10-15mins if traffic npcs decide to f*ck with you by driving into you. This usually means, the target gets away a nice distance while your slow truck cab accelerates and takes it time. I remember long time ago, I used to use the MOC cab for this hit but that was patched and you have to use the truck cabs Franklin provides for you. The chase him in a cop car and taxi hit are very easy cause the cop cars spawn near the target’s driving route. You can also call Emergency Services on your phone and have cops come to you. Kill cops, take cop car (no wanted levels will appear). I think picking up the cop car is faster than waiting for the cops to arrive as they take longer than the cab company. I guess it depended on how lazy I felt whether I called for cops or just flew the Oppressor to the cop cars that spawn. The taxi hit also spawns a taxi at the Taxi Company by the casino, but I rarely used it as I just called for a cab on the phone, kill cab driver using a silencer and use his taxi to pick up the target. The “kill targets with headshots” can be unnerving sometimes cause you could accidentally miss and kill target with chest shot. But since there is no timer like in “Kill targets in 7 mins”, I just took my time with the headshots, I would stay behind targets and sniper the heads as they walked away. There are a few of them that will turn around and shoot back at you, they are fools, take your time and whip out your best headshot rifle or gun and headshot them dead. The hits at the motels are very easy. The one where you have to kill him by shooting his car engine, is super easy if you put two sniper bullets in the engine before he comes out of the hotel room (don’t worry you won’t alert him), when he finally gets in the car, wait for the little red arrow indicator and put that third and last bullet in the engine and watch the sparks. For the ones you have to light him on fire, no matter how you go about it, use a nearby car to block his car. This gives you time to throw your Molotov at him. I preferred pouring gasoline all over his car and on the pavement in front of it, while he is still inside the hotel, and then shoot the gas puddle and his hood once he starts to drive his car. Just don’t block him from being able to enter his vehicle. lol, and also watch the Vagos that sometimes show up after the hit is over. Just NEVER auto aim the target until he is in the vehicle or you will fail the bonus because even if his back is turned he will sense your intentions. Always wait. And if you do mess up in any hit at any point, just find new session and try again. Franklin is very forgiving like that.
