Wow I am surprised anyone can understand me with my terrible redneck way of talking.

What?  You sound as clear as possible, and probably have the most "neutral" American accent of anyone in the crew.  I put neutral in quotations because despite what people say, that concept is a gray area.  Either way, like Zmurko said, you are probably by far the easiest to understand.  Well, you and G37 both.

I'm glad I'm understandable, but I hate what my headset does with my voice.  If you'll notice, I've been a little more shy at times due to how it makes me sound. :P  I'm probably even less understandable when I'm talking a bit more quietly though.

For what it's worth though--I don't really have problems understanding anyone that I can think of--some mics seem more quiet than others, but it's not really an issue unless there's a lot of people talking at the same time.

I must have the best headset in the world. Lol. Mu family in southern Indiana says I talk like someone from the north and people up here say I talk with a slight southern accent. So it makes sense I am neutral.

I just wish my headset would filter my stupidity sometimes, than it would be perfect. Lol

I use Turtle Beach PX 22's*, with independent volume controls for chat and game (plus a mic monitor volume) I can turn the game volume down a bit if someone is difficult to hear (or turn chat down if I don't want to here you randoms) but don't tend to have any problems.

I don't know how I come across, don't tend to talk much anyway and then it's usual quite low with a boring northern accent.

* I seem to have got these at a good time, paid £47 from Amazon but they're now up for £65, great headset though.

You sounded a bit quiet to me yesterday, even with my mic turned up all the way.  But then again, my other two friend's who we were playing with are a bit louder.  I use a Turtle Beach too, but not sure what model.  I bought whatever was on sale with good reviews.  ;)

Same thing with Pr0fane.  I can hear him, but he sounds quiet through my headset so I have to turn the volume up.  Everyone else (that I've played with so far) I can hear crystal clear.

Sorry for going off topic a bit.

It was just chance that I'd joined the random mission invite and it turned out to be your friends, it was a good session. As I said lastnight you'll have plenty of fun with the DB members.

Like others said, you have one of the clearest voices SS. Let us know what settings you use. It could help.

In the other thread someone mentioned putting some setting on 5 in the playstaion's xbl menu. I looked and mine was on 3. I couldn't change it at the time because...

MY FREAKIN' DOG ATE MY HEADSET YESTERDAY!!!!  :smiley-angry032:   Can you believe that?  I ordered a new one today but I'll be mute until they arrive.

Just a regular ps3 headset settings are mic level 3. I am loud so I would recommend 4 or 5. Since it is surround sound I turn down the game sounds a little and I can hear everyone ok. When I ask people to repeat i sometimes have a hard time with accents.post-61-0-99907900-1411521958_thumb.jpg

I think I have the same ones, can't remember if they're 22s though but yea they have all the individual controls and you can plug your phone in and play your music. Not sure how that works with chat. If there's any interference. Definitely a nice set but I always feel lox my mic be a bit loud.

You Want Peace, Prepare For War

I use a Geotech xe-01 and the quality isn't great. I can hear most of what is being said but its very crackly and a few peeps are diff to hear. I'd put it down to having a cheap headset rather than any problem with speech on GTAV but I'd be interested to know if anyone with a better-quality B/T headset has the same issues (as if not then I'll be indulging come payday!)
