Free aim assisted and regular free aim are both allowed in the same lobby.

It's stupid that the game will allow it.

I guess it's the same with assisted (partial/full).

There will be people that use assisted, I can't find a way to stop that as the game feels that it's acceptable to mix the styles. It has obvious advantages, but when the host says free aim then it should be exactly that, not assisted.

I take it this is a PS4 change different from PS3? I'll have to see if there's more than the three options still on PS3. I know there are other different settings between the two platforms such as the attack priority settings. I wish PS4 had a crew and friends setting like PS3. On PS4 I sometimes hit crew members who are not on my friends list.

Yeah, PS3 doesn't have as many aim settings.

I wish you could change priority to attack no friends or crew members, that feature is currently flawed as you've still gotta add the people.

I don't mind adding everyone, but as I am still slowly ramping up my PS4 involvement I'm running into members regularly that I haven't met yet. It would just be nice if all settings were the same for ease of use and transition between the platforms. That said they should all be like the PS3 settings, Rockstar had it right the first time.

Yeah I found the changes quite disruptive to my gameplay, but I soon got into the swing of it, I guess it's different for you with switching from one console to the other.

On PS4, with your priority set to strangers only, it's easy to see who isn't on your friends list simply by aiming at them when we gather at LSC  :).

IMO 'strangers' should mean anyone outside of crew or friends, but R* have other ideas...
