Yeah, that's a tough one Scotty.  

There's definitely some lag, but when you slow down the video, it was probably only half a second.

Of course a split second is enough to change the outcome of a duel, but I suppose it's to be expected when players from different parts of the world are online together in a large lobby.  Still sucks though. 

 

That sort of thing happens to me literally every DM we play.  Sometimes the lag will get better during a DM & occasionally it even goes in my favour, but generally not.  :(

 

The funny thing is, I couldn't hit you in that capture, but the lag wasn't as bad as normal with other people in the PL.  

I live closer to you than any other crew member, so how does that figure?  :lol:

 

 

 

Here's a video of the "Picnic Gone Wrong" TDM we played yesterday with True, G, MuttenChops, Scotty & myself.  

It was the first DM I'd played since the latest patch/update.  Noticed a new "Jesus crucifixion" animation when someone was lagging on my screen.

As soon as the DM was over I said "What the fuck was that?"  It's really creepy when it happens.  

Sort of like the Blair Witch movie when the guy is standing in the corner at the end.

 

While doing Banksie's PL yesterday, some of the PS3 guys were noticing it on the last TDM, but it wasn't happening on my screen.

Can't remember anyone mentioning it before the latest patch, and I've never noticed it before.  

Maybe something has been tweaked by R* or Sony, or whoever runs that side of things.

Haha thats awesome. Must have been very frustrating on your end though. I only saw tiny glimpses of it, and not as bad as that. I can only imagine what you were thinking haha

Actually that DM wasn't too bad for lag.  It was really just those 3 or 4 times.

The 3rd example actually worked in my favour, as True was just standing there & I got in some head-shots that registered.

But the other times my shots didn't seem to have any affect at all.

And once you snapped out of it & combat rolled away, my auto-aim kept going back to the original spot instead of locking on to you.

 

The rest of the match was basically lag free for me & I really enjoyed it.

It seems like something has been adjusted or tweaked in the P2P lag compensation thingy since the latest update.

Haven't really played enough DM's on PS4 to get a better sense of it though.  But any improvement to the system is definitely welcome.  :)

You should of seen DC yesterday. He got FAT AS FUCK! Like .. grab his head and roll it down a bowling alley fat (don't send me a power outage DC).

 

Not sure which is more frightening that or the fact that DC changes the skin color of other players  :ph34r:

In one recent PL the 1st DM ran smoothly for me and I finished second on my team with 19 kills 11 deaths. The next DM in same PL Lag happened big time and I finished last on my team with 3 kills and 11 deaths. My skills don't vary that much I don't think....

Yeah Rev, that inconsistency in the lag seems to be one of the biggest issues.  

A few guys have mentioned the same problem.  Sometimes the lag can change in the middle of a DM too.

 

In Banksie's PL on Friday, I could barely lock on to any of you guys in Z's shotgun DM, but most of the other DM's were mostly lag free for me.

I have noticed an improvement in the lag since the recent update.  That includes race starts & general DM lag. 

Hopefully some of the issues have been fixed up a bit.   If that's the case, we're gonna have to come up with a new excuse when we suck.  :lol:
