JustHatched 12,123
Both appear to have the same stats when upgraded and both appear to have the same ride height (still need to Zancudo swamp test) So if both are identical as far as everything that matters (except price) which do you prefer and why? GeraldPhoenix 134
I love the Guardian also, it's a tie with the Sandking in my top 5. I like it cause it reminds me of the F650 and the GMC Topkick. Edited March 15, 2015 by GeraldPhoenix Quote Just a car enthusiast; Because racecar "Stay true to yourself. Few will accept you. SeymorScagneti 1,274
The Guardian is faster than the Insurgent stock and fully modded. Love both though. SeymorScagneti 1,274
Just tested the insurgent and the guardian in my Lago Lunacy/Zancudo Lake race...both work, the guardian climbs better but the insurgent is more stable. G37 3,445
Insurgent is surprisingly nimble considering its' size and drivetrain. When it comes to actual off-roading and rock-climbing though, the Sandking still doesn't really have a competitor outside the Rebel and that's really only hill climbing. I guess it comes down to track? People use off-road vehicles for all sorts of things. DavidCore89 7,404
Guardian is Industrial class, they can't be raced, therefore it's pretty much useless to me. Insurgent without the gun is probably the same. Sandking is still the best off road truck in a race, Liberator and Marshall will be more suitable through rivers though. ScottyB 2,086
It depends what you want it for. I Don't have the insurgent yet cause of the price and I'm guessing many others will be in the same boat. I wouldn't buy it to only use in a race (unless I want to ram them off the road). I Purchased the insurgent pickup but still am considering the normal one just cause it's a beast that can ram through anything and you can store it.. I have never really been one to go 4x4 in gta but it could be something fun to do in the future to test ou a range of vehicles. I had the sandking until the dubsta came out and have had that ever since.. Never really used it much except when I wanted to drive over 4 people around and in some races that require high clearance. If they are very similar, I would much prefer the insurgent for all its other features that no other car has so it's not really a fair comparison unless it's strictly about racing. I prefer the Insurgent in free roam due to its damage shunning, ramming and all terrain abilities, but the hefty deductible payment to file an insurance claim if gets destroyed (or impounded and not claimed) is a slight deterrent. Smurf 947
The guardian is classed under industrial and not off road though it can traverse some tough terrain, personally I would only want it for off road races which I can't use because of the classification which falls under. The Insurgent is a rear wheel drive off road classed vehicle that can't climb steep elevations as the Guardian, Dubsta 6x6 & the two Sandkings. I was shocked testing the Insurgent in one of my races, where it certainly could not climb a specific section the other said vehicles could manuver, it would have been better if it were an all wheel drive. Yeah, I'm disappointed in it's off road performance, but I still love it. Quote I only grow in living soil! Because Fat Buds Matter! Smurf 947
Yeah? Edited my race pre heist races by untucking off road vehicle and ticked it and the Guardian showed up as an off road vehicle.
