Just realised I've not created a thread for this stomach churning race.

For being a job locked to first person, it's still fun.  It did make me kind of sick and left feeling dizzy.  I wasn't able to finish the race because I was taking it slowly so I wouldn't throw up on my carpet.

Last night, I passed the controller to Mr. Jag during this race because I had a glass of wine (or two...) and that certainly doesn't help racing in FPV.  He didn't finish the race either, but I had messed up a few CP's before handing it over.  Oh well, still a fun time.  It's more fun listening to people on the mic during this race.  haha

This would probably work better with a lock to stock Pantos. It's a smaller car that's more geared toward the even smaller crevices you find yourself having yo travel down.

Not a fan of it being defaulted to first person, but it is what it is.

Mechanically there's several Cps that could use some work as you're really left wondering where to go. Combine that with the not so great first person camera angle and you might be left scratching your head more often than not which isn't a good thing IMO. To add to that there's some obvious ramps you need to climb to reach the next destination and a few of the Cps (where you respawn) can make it difficult to continue on.

Certain areas I think you nailed though that add to the experience (like traveling over uneven and bumpy terrain).

Some cool things about it but I think it could use some fine tuning especially if the first person nauseating joy ride is what you're going after, it should at least flow a bit better.

I've been considering taking the roof top sections out, so far in all the running it's been a 50% finishing rate which isn't ideal for racing. A lot of the drivers don't make it to the pipe section which I actually think could be the most interesting part of the course.

In all honesty Squirrel I do not care for this race, but I do not care for many that have stacked props. I couldn't finish it due to the roof top sections, maybe in 3rd person I could but 1st is so awkward for me and others.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I wanted the novelty of driving on the rooftops unfortunately the Panto doesn't have the pace to make a jump up there so the only option available was stacked ramps.

It was designed to torment the crew in the disasterpiece style, will definitely have a look at making it a bit simpler and keeping it on one level.

I really liked it Squirrel.   :)

1st person can be very hit or miss, especially when it comes to racing in tight twisty areas, but overall I thought it was good fun & worked well.

Have run the race in the stock Panto & modded Rhapsody.  Didn't have a problem either time, but I can imagine if someone failed a jump/ramp & had to re-spawn, then it could be an issue with CP placements etc.

The creator certainly makes it hard to place CP's in those tight areas due to the re-spawning area that is required, so I understand that some CP's may not always be placed in the optimum spot.

My favourite bit was where you had to go round & round & round the tank thing.

Half of us went clockwise, the other half went counter-clockwise.  To this day, I still don't know who was going the right way.

It didn't matter though, because we all hit the CP's on each lap.

I've removed the rooftop sections. The rest of it is still as bumpy and twisty as ever.

One thing I'll have to check is if you can run it as either point to point or laps. In theory you can do a complete loop and for the really sadistic you can go around again.

Keep traffic on as you never know when a train is going to come through and ruin your day and it's quite fun dodging the oncoming traffic in a small section of the course.
