Chase Chopper Showdown

2_0.jpg

It is the day before the big rally race and we have not yet selected a chase helicopter crew to film the event. Follow the designated course and the winner gets the contract.

Nape of the earth air race along twisty canyon roads

2-30 players

Locked to Maverick Helicopters

Cool race Ern. Better now that I understand your thought behind it :P

I think you can space out the checkpoints more though cause some come up very quick and you don't get enough chance to react.

The other thing is that I think you should change the starting grid and have it a bit wider. Move it further back from the first checkpoint if need be. The reason is cause air races suck at catching up and if you start at the back of the pack it's next to impossible to move up the pack unless people stuff up or your really good.

IMO this is one of the best heli races I have done in GTA. The course is great. I agree with Scotty about spacing the CP's just a tick more in a few places though.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Thanks guys for the feedback.

I have altered the starting grid to the widest allowable and gave the checkpoints a bit more breathing room.

Please let me know your thoughts on the modifications.

Really liked this one too Ern.  :)

Using the Maverick works well as a chase helicopter.

I like air-races that are close to the ground, mountains or buildings etc.

It helps some of us less skilful pilots keep our bearings.  I get a little lost when the CP's are way up in the air.

E, I attempted to run a rally raid playlist on Saturday to mark the end of Dakar 2016 but it was plagued with connection problems before and during. Only ran about 3 incomplete stages before scrapping it because it was getting close to another scheduled playlist.  I was thinking of including this job as it fits the theme. Great photo.
