Havoc on Hawick.

GP style circuit that starts on Hawick Ave and utilises some corners that are a little trickier than your standard.

Some are off camber, some are on blind crests while others may have a tricky bump to be wary of.

You'll need to muster up all your driving skill to achieve a quick lap time here.

Delicate use of the throttle & brake is a must.  Precise steering wouldn't be a bad idea either.  Enjoy.

Video.

Still no maps on RSC site, so here's a homemade one.  Yes, that's supposed to be a checkered flag.  Shut up.

Default settings are:

  • Super.  (sports, sports classics & muscle cars work well too)
  • Morning/Clear.
  • 3 laps. (approx 1:30 to 1:45 per lap)
  • Non-contact. (I recommend 5 laps if contact is to be used)
  • Slip-stream & catch-up off.
  • No camera lock.
  • Traffic off.

Thanks Adsy.

Yeah, it's fairly quick, but as you probably discovered, there aren't many corners you can take flat out.

Most require a dab of the brakes or easing off the throttle etc.

Hopefully it's one of those tracks where the driver can make a big difference to the lap time.

The version you tested may have changed slightly too.

G & I did a few laps & then went around slowly, just talking about props or CP's that could do with some improvements.

I've updated a newer version with a few changes.  Will post a new video in the next day or two.  :)

Very tough track for Muscle cars. Nicely done.

I've only ever ran supers here, but I agree, it's a fantastic track.

This track achieved 'legendary' status for me quite some time ago, it's an opinion and an 'imaginary tag' that very few jobs get from me, but it means it'll never be removed from my bookmarked jobs.

First time I've run it with Muscle Cars too. (other than a couple laps in the creator)

It seemed to work really well.  Supers & Sports obviously are good choices, but Sports Classics also work well.

Thanks, DC.  If skilled & experienced racers enjoy it, then that's a great pat on the back.

It was always intended to have a relatively simple layout so it had a reasonable flow to it, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't too easy.

There are several corners where you really need to properly drive the car, using a combination of braking, lifting, subtle steering & gentle acceleration.

Go too hard at it, and it will bite back.

Fido, I've got a semi-completed version for PS3.  It's unpublished at the moment.

Believe it or not, all 100 props have been used on the PS4 version, so I'm having a real hard time duplicating it on PS3.

The man-made chicanes plus the two man-made hairpins used up quite a few props, plus all the pole barriers etc.

I'll have another look at it today (I'd basically given up on it) to see what I can do with it.

The easiest thing is for you to get a bloody PS4.  Will save me a lot of work.  :D
