Exemplar-ry Effort

2_0.jpg

Description:

Race around palato bay, making the hills roar with the awesome sound of the Exemplar's engine. Who cares about the residents when you can go break neck speeds around corners? (minute a lap)

Awesome track, very simple but it works great. The slalom works really well and I didn't have any trouble with it. You do need a bit of throttle control which is good. I wouldn't like to get caught up on it though so I don't know how some of the slower racers did with it cause if you made one mistake you have to respawn and the race is over for you. Great vehicle selection too

Second take on this, the first corner after the slalom has 2 barriers. I know this is to block the light post but it kept catching me this time. I use the barrier as the apex so when I get close to the first barrier, I hit the second barrier.. I notice on all your corners your have several barriers and personally I don't like it because of that reason.

I'm not sure what the best way to do this is but what I have started doing is wrapping the poles with a tyre stack and then placing a barrier behind it at the apex and sometimes wrapping the pole on the other side of it. I think this is easy to see and gauge where the apex is but others might disagree. It is a hard thing to do cause of where the light poles are positioned but I don't think having multiple barriers around any corner works very well.

Great track otherwise and I especially like how you have the barriers sloped back towards he track so it deflects you into the right direction instead of stopping you dead, something I will start using where possible.

I've used a barrier behind a tyre stack, but I found that it cause a lot of isues with players having to readjust their line due to the unexpected barrier placed behind the stack.

99% of the time, a stack is enough to put people off corner cutting, if not then I'll place a concrete barrier side-by-side with the tyre stack so there is no surprise waiting behind the tyre stack, then the tyre stack and barrier will clearly represent the apex or the 'no-go-zone'.

I had to make the same change to one my races quite recently.

Several concrete barriers per corner is something I see regularly, it's not my style and if it cause more danger than safety then it clearly isn't working as intended.

BTW, I haven't ran this race, just chirping in with my opinion on props.

Thanks man, I'll take another look and see what I can do with those barriers :)
