This is something I've been working on for a while. Inspired by the video Beez posted in his blog (hence the 620), this track has sections that borrow heavily from certain tracks by GooN and Dodge, as well as CP placement similar to ErnYoung's 'Paleto Forest Rally Raid', giving a mix of wide open stretches where different routes are possible (the most direct may not always be the quickest) and tight (annoying) sections. I hope it lives up to my comparisons to the aforementioned tracks and does justice to the video Beez posted.

Track trivia:

- Intended to be ran full contact

- Locked to stock Enduro, the closest bike to the one in Beez's video.

- Each lap is 3.10 miles, 2 laps is standard giving a total of 6.20 miles (620) 1 lap standard

- The jump onto the derelict motel roof is possible, a failure should respawn you on the roof. (There is an alternative way through the motel too) the CP is now at ground level.

Haha good work PB! It was fun and there are some tricky bits too. The bikes really well suited to the track too.

2 laps took close to 10mins but it didn't really feel that long.

The distance between cp 2 and 3 is a bit far and could possibly use one inbetween as you can't see exactly where to go, although you might want the freedom to choose your route.

The same for the cp when you come out of the airport scrap yard, it's quite far to the next one and you need to use your map to see where to go.

There were a few others where you couldn't directly see the next cp and needed to rely on the mini map a bit but I think that makes it cool as you need to choose which way to go.

Standard will be frustrating if there are a decent amount of people trying to get through some of those tight spots. I couldn't get on to the roof of the hotel either but always spawned back on the roof.

Thanks Scotty, I hoped that the distance between certain checkpoints would give an opurtunity for riders to select what they think is the best route, the bikes aren't particularly fast so hopefully there's time to have a quick glance at the minimap. I also hoped that the field of riders will have spread out a little before they reach the tricky bits, but a fuller lobby may have to go non-contact (although I personally like a bottleneck pile up :)).

The ramp needs to be hit at the far right to reach the roof (going to the right of the ramp leads to a tunnel through the motel which may be quicker.......;)

(I only set 2 laps as standard for the 6.20 thing, 1lap may be enough)

We ran this with contact during the EU Vetting playlist.  Quite challenging--sort of like Disasterpiece on steroids with motorbikes.  I do think one lap is plenty though, and the one thing I might suggestion is changing the ramp situation over the Derelict Motel.  I didn't have issues with re-spawning, but upon running the track for the first time, I was unsure that I needed to take a ramp and it was a bit hard to see exactly where the ramp was located due to it blending in with the surrounding scenery.  I'd perhaps place a larger ramp here--I also wasn't aware that I needed to wheelie to make it work properly.  Honestly, I'm not quite the fan of those jump types in a race as a whole, but that's just me personally.  All in all though, the race works as intended and is definitely one where practice and patience are the key elements.

I've never been happy with the derelict motel 'jump' and have now moved the CP to ground level. I like the idea that this.......

it was a bit hard to see exactly where the ramp was located due to it blending in with the surrounding scenery.

could potentially cause some accidental flight (and/or mischievous nudging to gain an advantage in that section of the course), so it should work better as it is now.

1 lap is now the default, if a host does want to torture/annoy the others, the option for more is always there.

Thanks for the feedback.

More inspiration PB if you want to create another Enduro race.

The old guy, Peter Egan, is one of the best motorcycle and car journalists in the U.S. (world?) and I got to ride and hang with him in a past life. The rider is a long time friend, who shortly after this had a bad motorcycle wreck and is lucky to be walking today. Prior to his accident he had raced the Isle of Man TT, Pike's Peak Hillclimb, AMA Supersport, flat track and supermoto. I am thankful he's not in that wheelchair anymore!
