SeymorScagneti 1,274 Posted August 8, 2015 Share Posted August 8, 2015 For me, PoE 35/Skolas was the most challenging event in Destiny. Pretty sure you have to be a 32 or 33 to even try it. Anything less and it's locked until you get better armor and level up. Try to have any elemental primaries you have maxed at 365, and all other weapons you plan on using maxed at 365. b17vic 73 Posted August 15, 2015 Share Posted August 15, 2015 (edited) I beat Skolas yesterday. It was my second attempt, went quite smoothly. Took 58 mins in total to complete the Lvl 35 arena. We used 2 Warlocks and 1 Hunter and circled around the perimeter when things got too busy with the ads. I think it helped that I had a failed attempt before and that I was fresh for the battle. When I tried to beat Skolas before I had already been playing Destiny for about 3 hours and fatuige had started to set in during the early rounds. I also believe that you do need to be Lvl 34 to really have any chance, I don't think I'm good enough to carry anyone for this particular event, sorry. I also imposed a 3 hour time limit on myself for completing the arena. I based this time limit on the previous failure because if the 3 guardians are having a bad day the grind will wear you down. If I'm able to help you beat him I will try. EDIT: made a mistake in body of post. (I'm already 2/3 of the way done to a max gally from one day of bounties I've got a long way to go Is this possible or should I give up now?! b17vic 73 Posted August 17, 2015 Share Posted August 17, 2015 Personally I would first ascend Legendary before Exotic my reasoning is that you can get Exotics at 42 without using up an Etheric light PLUS you can only equip 1 piece of Exotic at a time, better to have all slots filled with 42 legendary giving more options for choice of Exotics. Max level will come soon enough.
