The tips are tailored to any player who is trying to become competitive, regardless of whether they spend their time solo or not.

Spending time in DMs before rank 50 is incredibly masochistic, and even if the player headshot vs npc headshot mechanic is there, living long enough to execute them is unlikely, unless one has plenty of prior experience.

Stealth reduces the noise footprint (represented by the blue circle on your own minimap), which helps both in PVE and PVP, as those attuned to environment sounds can hear low-stealth players approaching regardless of whether radar blips are available.

Stamina may or may not be full by rank 40, and yes the sports returns on Strength are greater than PVE, hence I reiterate my bolded point about efficiency and ensuring one has all the tools to be competitive.

An Armoured Kuruma, as I said, is a Mission Runner's best friend.  No, it's not particularly great in a race, and missions can indeed be done without it, albeit in a number of lucrative cases, at significantly higher risk.  Too much risk leads to diminishing returns in RP and $ for one's efforts if many mission failures occur due to death etc, as efficiency requires one to have a very high success rate and similar speed in acheiving said success.

As for the comment of stats not making a significant impact, I vehemently disagree.  Chances are, a seasoned player with better muscle memory and prior knowledge of scenarios and environments will outperform someone who is relatively new, almost irregardless of how far filled a stat bar is.  If a seasoned player uses a low-skilled character, it'd likely be to test their own skill as a player, or as a means of balancing the scales with those who are newer.  Some people are also just naturally better at certain types of games.  As evidence, I submit my own performance in PLs; when initially played, my low strength made me a 2-shot kill in DMs, my lack of car mods left me trailing in the dirt, overall PL result the wooden spoon; last couple of PLs, comfortable middle of the pack in DMs as I'm no longer super-squishy, a few podium finishes in races thanks to a decked out garage with suitably modded vehicles, overall PL result was 4th out of 9 participants if memory serves.

On a final note, please do not take my suggestions out of context, I find it incredibly frustrating, both in the reading and then having to explain.  I did not once claim that this was the best way, or the only way to go about one's GTAVO career, simply that it was the most efficient route, and encouraged the OPer to find his own path from all of the information available.

You make some good points, both of my characters have a combined rank of very nearly 1000 and I didn't use any efficient techniques, so I don't really agree that your method is most efficient either.

I just think that players get kinda lost in the world of being efficient and earning $ in GTA... Eventually they tend to sit in an invite only lobby, robbing trucks, selling cars and running a PvE mission inbetween that probably has absolutely no variables.

Players can spend months playing these solo efficient techniques only to join a race, DM or any other competitive job and realize that the 3 months spent playing solo has meant that they can no longer compete with anything or anyone more unpredictable than an NPC.

That leads to even more solo play vs NPC's, that's because they don't wanna have the same experience of getting killed over and over or constantly DNF'ing races. It's easy to blame that on stats or strength, but it's really because players aren't as easy to kill and they have the capabilities of using unpredictable tactics against you, while an NPC can only have more aggression, health and accuracy.

A headshot is a 1 shot kill regardless of strength and weapon. 2 shots is either lag or neither of the shots hit the player in the head. You say that you have issues living long enough to get a headshot, so that is probably your problem.

How can spending time in a DM before rank 50 possibly be incredibly masochistic? I honestly shake my head in disbelief at that comment, but it's very common for players that concentrate on PvE jobs to say such a thing. Does rank 75 also fall into the same category?

Again, stats mean nothing on vehicles and they don't mean as much as you think on characters either. My main character is well past rank 800 with full stats and I've had players less than rank 50 with low stats get more kills on me plenty of times, skill and lag are bigger factors... Mostly lag in GTA though.

Thanks for the help guts.

The 2 play lists I've played so far have been great fun and, although I finished last amd 7th, not demoralising. Im old enough to accept that I'm not going to be lighting up the leader boards anytime soon. Give me a week or so though ;-P

I have just over £200k so will be buying the apartment with the 10 garage. Host some heists and start saving for some decent cars and mod them up

There have been some good tips here so I won't elaborate too much on any of them. It really depends on how you want and like to play the game and how much time you have on it as to which route you should follow.

You will eventually get everything you want so I would focus on what will make the game more enjoyable for you. Depending who you play against and your skill level, a lot of racers would still be able to win in standard cars against fully custom ones.

The best way to save up is to do missions and heists, especially with the bonus RP and money. Find some crew members to tag along with and it should help you a lot. For the fun and self improvement factor, join the playlists. Before I joined the crew I considered myself a reasonable racer. When I joined the crew I kept DNFing for ages. I was also terrible at DMs. Now I am right up there with the best and the only way to get there is to compete and learn from others.

As long as you're having fun and enjoying the game, that's the main thing. Everything else will come along eventually. Sure, some ways may take longer but if the game turns into a chore just to earn money to buy a car then it will take the fun away from the game

No doubt about, looking for fun it's playlist with the crew, we all are competitive in some sorts but i never join playlist with that mind set but to have fun after a real life struggle.

Because of that money on playlist for me is not good especially when tend to be in bottom and need those $$$, thats why a mixture of everything its a must. If you can find crew mates to run some high paid mission and heist especially now they are double rp and $$$.

most important having fun and don't forget your way of fun and earning might be different from some but doesn't mean is wrong.

Its a game enjoy and have fun

Try racing solo sometimes to find the car you really like. (So never buy the Comet I think). I started with a 10 car garage on Greenwich that is near to a LS Customs. Get the car you can handle best and upgrade it in your nearby LSC.

Also steal Baller SUV's and Oracle coupe's and store them in the garage. You can sell them at your friendly neighbour LCS every 48 minutes, generating 9k or 8k at a time.

Check your daily objectives. It adds to your daily Income. Good luck I am sure you will level up quite fast.
