The 2015-2016 Beautiful Game Thread

Recommended Posts

Cool.

Tonight I'm off to the Liberty Stadium for Swansea City vs Stoke City in the Premier League.

Should be a decent game, but I expect Stoke to come here and defend.

I haven't been to a game for a while.

Question for you all...why is it that the US women can compete at an elite level but the US men suck so bad? Is it coaching, player development, or maybe that few Americans play in the top leagues around the world?

Could it be that non-US men have a longer history, but when it comes to women there is less difference if the culture/history due to it being newer to both US and non-US?

(sorry for the poor wording)

That could be.

The women are beating Brazil right now 2-1 in a friendly and the match is super competitive. If it were the men, they'd be down 2-0 or worse.

One day, I hope to travel to EU and catch a match live. That atmosphere looks and sounds awesome.

If it's not going well on the national level (both getting eliminated by yellow&blue), at least we get some satisfaction when it comes to foreign clubs we support, eh Banks? Liverpool smashed ManC on their gome ground too today, so yeah, a beautful day for football. :D

Breaking news: Mourinho is sacked!!! Was this a good move for Chelsea??

@Fido - Wolfsburg has some good players, it might be an interesting game.

My team will play against Bayer Leverkusen, it will be hard but it is possible for us to go thru.

Sacking Mourinho is a big mistake IMO, he's the best football manager in the world, no question.

OK, the results have been embarrassing from a Chelsea perspective, but that doesn't change what he's achieved and the trophies that he's won at every club he's been at.

I think they'll get another world class manager in to replace him, but they won't be competing for major trophies any time soon.

Mourinho for the vacant Swansea job! (It'll be Marcelo Bielsa).

With a new coach, Chelsea will definitely go back to its rightful spot in the top 5. That sucks cause I hate Chelsea ! So bad news about Mourinho getting the Hammah.

I prefer when they are in the bottom of the rankings.

I still think that issue with Eva Carneiro has something to do with all this. If i'm not mistaken, Chelsea became shit just after that episode...

I heard some names to take the spot - Brendan Rodgers, Guus Hiddink, Pep Guardiola...
