I just played a version very similar to the one we normally play here as a crew. It has a few twists, but they seem to work well and I think it adds to the job.

You've perked my curiosity. Love the original! Yeah please let us know what the twist is.

I've played this.  It has another ramp that sort of ramps up onto one of the buildings where you can aim (the Insurgent) at the platform from above (if you drive carefully).

Personally, not my cup of tea, but unfortunately, I haven't found any of the R v I remakes to be of my liking.  I've played several and they all seem to miss something--one had a slightly lower platform, where the team with the rockets could easily get off the platform and run into the Pacific Standard Bank.  That was perhaps the worst because it completely ruined the concept.

I don't know, maybe I'm stubborn, but nothing can top the original for me. :)

I wish I could access my bookmarked jobs on RSC. I've done a couple of similar types of LTS's

Snipers V Stunters is pretty cool, It's Zentornos V Sniper rifles

Also Planes V Parkourers is a lot of fun, I'm no good at either aspect of it but love playing it none the less.

They can be found in my Crazy Jobs PL on RSC if you want to try them out.

The whole PL is fun if any of the hosts want to use it one day :)

Layout is very close to the original with the following differences.

1. Top platform has more RPGs

2. Top platform has small containers on each end so you can jump on to avoid the Insurgent that may get up on the platform like the original. That may sound like an big advantage, but you can hit people fairly easy by going directly for the small container.

3. There are more Insurgents.

4. Theater area is blocked off so you can't get trapped there anymore.

5. There is a ramp that goes on top of the buildings from the east to west and on the south side of the street. From the north side of the containers, you have a pretty good view of an Insurgent going up the ramp. Not a killer of the job for sure as you can see it on the mini-map and get shot off at the beginning of the ramp and just before it goes off.

6. There's a Frogger. I guess it's there for S & Gs. Don't see how it can be a game changer at all.

I think the differences make enough changes that both sides have to slightly adjust their gameplay, but not enough to break it.

I'll book mark it. I know how much some people like RvI  (I am terrible at it) and I have played this version before. Well actually I mostly watched other people play it because like I said, I suck at it and die quickly. I will put it in my Wednesday night playlist on a semi regular basis.

For the longest time I didn't really like RvI cuz I was horrible at it. it can be frustrating if you die right away then have to wait what seems like forever till the next round. Plus playing with randoms sometimes can be a pain in the ass! I came close to quitting forever. I stayed with it cuz the RP and money is tremendous.

I now feel like I'm pretty good at it.  It's now my favorite LTS by far.

Stick with it Beez, If I can get good at it there's no question you can.

You'll be a RvI addict before you know it.

Granted, playing with randoms can be a PIA, but it can be fun with either a full crew or a handful of crew.

One positive note on the version, I don't think late joiners get a pistol. On the original, this can make randoms rage quit. They just don't think on how to adapt.
