What was the most recent thing you bought?

aaahmm 2 Blue Rays from amazon with "same day delivery guarantee" meant to arrive between 7 and 10pm on Monday, actually arrived 9pm on Tuesday... regular prime delivery would have been by 1pm yesterday lol...

funny part ( yeah it's already a friggin brilliantly amusing tale I know...) They charge 10€ for same day delivery, but I got it as a "test for free" offer.... then I complained that it didn't work... and amazon refunded the 10€ ( that I never paid) /golfclap /facepalm /haha

Just bought Stardew Valley on Steam. It's a lot like the Harvest Moon series, just a cutesy little farming game. Used to play the hell out of it when I was a kid. 19 hours in, and I've only owned it for 3 days... Goodbye, life.

Oh, and a Battle Cross controller adapter for the PS3 so I can use a controller I'm more familiar with. =p

Just bought a new 4GB graphics card for my PC. Nvida GeForce GTX 970 Turbo, comes free with a 240GB SSD and The Division. Also bought 16GB RAM, gaming keyboard and a gaming mouse as well as a tool and cleaning kit. After this weekend I'll be geared up for full on PC gaming.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Dear XXXXX,

All of the items from order #120021 have now been processed and will be out for shipping asap:

Your item(s) have been gently taken from our Pillow King shelves with sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow. A team of 50 employees inspected your purchase and polished it to make sure it was in the best possible condition before mailing. Our world-renowned packing specialist lit a local artisan candle and a hush fell over the crowd as he put your item(s) into the finest gold-lined box that money can buy. We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party marched down the street to the post office where the entire town waved “Bon Voyage!” to your package, on its way to you, in our private Pillow King jet on this day.

We hope you had a wonderful time shopping at Pillow King. In commemoration, we have placed your picture on our wall as “Customer of the Year.” We’re all exhausted but can’t wait for you to come back to PILLOWKING.CO!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Picked these up at the weekend. £54 total for 3 old bikes. All in good working order. Going to give them all a clean and service any bits that need it.

Nice find. I have a green Balmoral in decent condition (obviously I don't ride it), but isn't one of the pre 60's models.

The top one looks a lot like a Balmoral, but with a BSA chainguard. That may make sense as I see the last Balmoral also has a couple of parts which aren't for that bicycle.

The one with gears should be interesting to ride :D. I think some had 3-speeds, but yours has maybe 6?

What do you plan to do with them after a service?

These are all 70s I think. I haven't got round to looking for serial numbers to date them. These would all have been made long after Raleigh bought them out along with most of the other British bicycle manufacturers of the time.

The seller of the bottom Balmoral said the original rear wheel was stolen many years ago, so now has a 5 speed cassette and Huret derailleur. Front and rear lights and dynamo all work as well.

Not sure what I'll do with them. I want to keep the BSA and may move one of the Balmorals on. The other I'm thinking of breaking for parts. They are so comfy to ride, they put a smile on my face as I amble through the village to the shop :)
