@revbouncer, I was looking for something else and seen @Jaggy had already had a topic posted so I merged yours in with hers.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I've played this flat out for a week and this is my conclusion for me. I'm about to blow ALL my chips then delete it. It was really only for poker and poker is full bugs. There are plenty of better places to play poker, even texas hold em on facebook leaves this site for dead pokerwise. The rest is mindlessly playing slots or keno for me and I think a week of that is enough. So if you don't see me around there anymore, that's why.

I've enjoyed it for what it is, but the poker is kind of like playing bingo.  Plus there's only two different buy-in amounts, the bugs you mentioned, and it's only made for a whopping six players maximum.

I wish they'd let us have accounts on PokerStars again--I used to play literally all day back in the day, and it was actual poker.

I still may consider getting the other Hold 'Em game, but I need something that has a level of risk where you can't just pickup free chips at any given moment and go all-in with 10-4o and not regret it.  Unfortunately, console gambling games are just lacking because the concept of skill is missing.  It's all just blind luck.  Now if we could get the Casino open in GTA and bet our GTA money there, I'd be all over it. :D

Yeah it's not great, thankfully it's free, but to be fair you cannot sell a PS4 game with about 1 frame per second, not to mention characters that run in a more strange way than Shaggy outta Scooby-Doo :D

Almost every poker game I've played is bugged and if I play slots too long my character gets stuck.

With bad or free games I just get the trophies and delete, but 1 of the trophies for this game is quite a grind, it'll be the last one for anyone to win and there isn't a platinum as a reward, so I'll delete too.

I'd give it a 2/10, but as PS Store is based on a vote outta 5, I'll give it a 1/5.

I like the game, it's just a way to chill without having to be on the controller like my life depended on it. Slots suck just like IRL slots otherwise it's just slow and simple.

Finally after playing freerolls there for about 6 years I made a deposit into pokerstars. Not a big one, just $60 AU which turned into a lot less US lol. I got a ticket to a tourny of 90 players and the top 9 got an entry into a Million dollar freeroll. I made the last 9, now I have to get up at 4am Sunday to try and grab my share of a Million bucks :D

Well it's been a week and my deposit is holding. I've played about 80 tournies with various buy ins. My biggest buy ins were $11 and $8.80. With big prizemoney on offer and me being new to paying to play, I tended to freeze up and not play very well at all, missing some golden oppourtunities to double or even triple my stacks. Hence I didn't cash out in either of those. I won a ticket to a million dollar freeroll. There were 37000 entries and 36500 won $12. I just sat back for a few mins until I was in the cash, then got eliminated LOL. But still won $14.50. My best game so far was only an 11 cent buy in. With 1500 runners I came 2nd and won about $18. So after ALL that in a week, I'm about 50 cents up on my initial deposit. My poker skills are not improving though, when I can settle down in the bigger buy in tournies I will be happy. But I can't play many of them as they eat away the balance too fast and it takes a lot of little games and plenty of luck to replenish the balance. I'm just glad my deposit lasted a week :D

If you play on pokerstars we can always chat via party chat if we're online at the same time.

  • 2 weeks later...

2 weeks now and over 100 poker games later, I'm just about out. It has been something I've wanted to do for a long time now and even though I've done my dough, my curiosity has been quenched. I played my usual game for the most part and did pretty well in a few tournies. But overall my game got trumped by donkeys with more chips who could call anything with just about anything. Not sure how many times I was beaten on the river by someone who really should've folded on the flop. I also played really stupid one game and actually got soooo lucky hand after hand. I was playing with crap cards on purpose because that's what seemed to be beating me quite so often. It actually worked and I got paid that tourny, but all it did was tell me, skill doesn't come into it at that level, just LUCK! I found out that paying to play, well small buy ins anyway, that it may as well be an arcade game! I am surprised my deposit lasted just over 2 weeks. I will be entering my last tourny in an hour. A 55c buy in. The top few places will pay pretty good. I really need a miracle ( OR A SPONSOR :D )

if my pokerstars career is going to continue. :D

Wish me luck, I need all i can get!
