We just lost the lobby :(.

It was great for ages, but it became impossible to bully and kick every player from the lobby.

Back to the carnage that is fully public freemode : SURPRISE :

Managed to fill a medium warehouse and sell the contents for $749K.

I used the 3 crate pick-ups to fill it which cost $252K in total.

In that time I also grabbed a special crate costing $21K and immediately sold it for $101K to make an extra space in my warehouse.

Total profit $577K.

Any difference in the purchase price in relation to sale price?

1 crate = $1000

2 crates = $8000

3 crates = $18000

Surely more cost effective to get one crate at a time if the selling price is the same for all 3 options

Cost effective to go for 1 crate at a time, but more time consuming for sure.

I only have 2 small Warehouses at this point. I noticed last night that my character freezes at the computer desk after exiting the laptop. It did this on several occasions later night. I was able to release it by joining a random job and quitting before it started.

Anybody else having this?

It's a bug with a certain warehouse I think.

Still haven't tried the update. Do I need to buy an office and warehouse before going on these crate runs ?

How do they work ? Can someone explain step by step how these happen ?

I've only been an associate but I do know you'll need to buy an office to coordinate the missions and at least one warehouse to store the contraband.  You can then sell the goods for a profit.

I feel robbed after purchasing a warehouse. I got the uh .. second most expensive one. Arcadius. Love the location. If only it had a 1-3 car garage attached to it.

Also bought the XLS and the Reaper (because I wanted an Infernus for nostalgia again anyway, this sort of drives like that so it's got character).

Is there a way of knowing if the pickups will be inside a vehicle or seperate crates before selecting 1, 2 or 3?

Also, must say I like the quiet agreement and execution of protecting a lobby from randoms. Kicking, killing or killing even more untill the lobby is safe once again.

I keep reading about this but have yet to actually see it. One lobby last night was CEO's killing each other and they came after me while doing a sightseer. Another one was full of Jets.

Yes, you have to buy an office which will be your HQ and a warehouse to stash the crates. In your office you buy warehouses and also crates. As soon as you buy one crate (there are 3 different types), it will trigger a mission, that mission is just to go somewhere to collect the product. (Always grab a fast car and don't forget your kalashnikov because shit may happen!) After u collect it, you have to put it in the warehouse. Then, you can buy more stuff for more profit or just sell what u already have. Inside the warehouse you have a laptop and thats where u will sell it. It will trigger a last mission where u move the product from the warehouse to the buyer's location. And that's it. There are different ways to run this business I think, because we have three ways to move the product, air, sea and land.

Nope.

I think 6 or 7 out of 10 will be 1 crate even if you select 3 crates.

I quit being a CEO now, too much legwork, good idea but it doesn't quite work out.

Filled 2 mediums and half-filled a large, now I'll just kill randoms with crates.

How much does it pay when you kill randoms ?

2K

I was only doing it so the others could continue to gather their crates.

Get the jet out and the randoms won't leave their office :)

After a terrible lobby last night I got tired of randoms and used this way to get a public lobby to myself. It worked.

I have a way to get into a public session on ps4 not sure for Xbox one. If you go to Internet settings and select your network and custom set up. Chose everything default except you MTU. You want to change this to about 800. Save settings and load gta up. Search for a game. It will leave you in the clouds for a while but will eventually put you in a lobby on your own. If you want to invite crew members you can and then leave and set your settings back to default so you don't lag out and just join your crews game.  (from here)

Yeah.

Bringing the MTU down so much makes it lag, but it depends how good your network is.

OG was doing this with much higher than 800 MTU because he already has a fairly low speed.

Warning though, a lot of other games won't let you connect to online with those settings.
