It's simple but it's also good fun because of that. GTA races SHOULD be simple and the vehicle choice just adds to the fun. I think the only thing I'd consider changing is decreasing the number of rocket pick-up areas. It's a very short track and can be quite a bit of spawn killing because of that. You have 6 "areas". I think 4 would do better. Hell, it's straight enough that you could probably utilize boosts in certain areas too.
